Every detail was carefully considered: the sight lines from the front of the house into the kitchen, the materials used and how they related to the rest of the house, the proportions of the new design as they related to the rest of the main floor.   I appreciated the practicality she brought to the project as well. They understood our taste and simply steered us in the right direction rather than trying to force an aesthetic on us. And they were also aware of sticking to a budget, often finding things for less than we had allotted. And at the end of the day they were just great people to work with. ## Community Q&A

**Q: What is the name of the backsplash and where to buy?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love this picture, it is very similar to our kitchen.  We are looking for a backsplash that will go with our black granite countertop.

A: Hello!  The tile are a carerra marble subway tile.  Make sure that you see the dyelot of the marble because they can change depending on the slab material! Hope that helps.

I love this kitchen. Please tell me the length and width of the kitchen in foot or cm.

A: The kitchen island is 48" deep by 11'-7" long.

A: Thanks for the comment!! this is a vintage Italian fixture that i found in a shop in Toronto and had re-wired

A: Thanks for the kind comment :) .the coffee table was sourced through Sunpan and the painting on a US site called Minted.
