Will use this contractor again!! > Jim of Double J was the general contractor for the update on our 1963 daylight basement. Work included removing electric baseboard heaters, extensive wall board repair (due to the baseboard removal, a re-pipe of all three of our bathrooms and removal of two wooden paneled walls), tile repair in the master bath due to the re-pipe, installing a new luxury vinyl plank (LVP) floor, and removing and reinstalling all original baseboards (which included integrating reused baseboard from our upstairs). Due to the age of our home, we have un-textured walls, old mahogany baseboards, and a large square footage to be covered (about 1,500 square feet). Jim and his subcontractors did an outstanding job on repairing all wall board, installing new wallboard, retiling as needed, patching together and installing the old wooden baseboards and laying the new LVP floor. Jim patiently answered our questions, provided a construction schedule, brought in excellent sub-contractors as needed, met all deadlines or explained any delays, and all workers cleaned up after themselves each day.
