## Community Q&A

**Q: Dark or Light Granite in here??** *(in Design Dilemma)*

First time granite buyers....and it's so confusing! We have a granite allowance from Lowe's. We are between a dark like uba tuba (which is in the bathroom currently) and a light like blanco leblon - and I'm just not sure if that lighter color will match the brownish floors. What do you all think?

I'm also planning on possibly converting the electric range to gas and taking it out of the island (which will lose that drop-down portion) and putting the range someplace between the fridge and dishwasher...if it can be done.

But I'm stuck on granite color first. I know granite is a lot about personal preference, but in terms of general appeal and simple color matching, can anyone offer advice? Thanks!

A: I saw where you were getting your Granite from Lowe's. They have a 25 sq ft minimum on each color. If you want to have two different colors of Granite, you will have to pay for 25 sq ft. Moving your stove to the wall will be a large expense. I would leave it there, but would definitely make it one level. The crown molding will add a lot to the look of the kitchen. Change your knobs and pulls. This will help with a different look. I like to take into consideration the colors in the sitting area directly next to the kitchen.  The whole room should be looked at.
