He proposed to build a walkout for me but after two months of waiting for him to do so, I was left with two giant piles of dirt in my yard, two holes in my foundation, grief and despair. > > October 2023: Ellen Yerks of Antonelli Landscape comes to my rescue. They took on a large job for us, and while we were unhappy with the experience, it has now turned disastrous. The work they did on our sideyard took what was a marshy area and turned it into a complete flood zone. They’ve tried to address it, but frankly were incapable of taking on the project and have fixed nothing despite their attempts. I knew that the amount of water pooling on our property was a ticking time bomb, and my fears came to fruition when our previously bone dry basement flooded late this evening. Hundreds of thousands later and their gross incompetence has left us with now a ruined basement and 10s of thousands in repairs. Not to mention the thousands we’ll spend to redo their landscaping that destroyed the grading of the lawn and caused this in the first place. Needless to say, I absolutely do not recommend them and would avoid at all costs. I deeply regret using them, and wish I would’ve called it off at the first sign of the multiple red flags that plagued the project. **Comment from Antonelli Landscape Pool & Spa:** > Thank you for your feedback. We understand how frustrating and exhausting flooding issues have been for homeowners this year. We have addressed the unique stormwater issues at your property three times - initially to complete the large patio project and twice afterward (at no charge) to correct and enhance our drainage system. During discussions and inspections with the city engineers and your neighbor, we learned that this drainage problem had been on-going since your house was built five years ago. After this year's rain events, multiple homeowners on your street had flooded lawns or restoration companies working in their homes. We believe that much of these problems are due to antiquated infrastructure on your street as well as inadequate grading of the land - the street is higher than many of the homes' foundations. > > We are proud of the work we completed for you and are committed to making sure that we take care of these problems for our clients - no matter the difficulty or complexity. If you are still experiencing problems after the next heavy rain events, we would like to be notified so that we can promptly help you address any other issues. Ellen Yert spent considerable time with us as we designed a combination of trees and shrubs to cover the perimeter of our fairly sizable backyard. No doubt there was a lot of commotion with the height of Covid last summer, which understandable cased some delays. However, when Jose and the crew did get to our project they were friendly, thorough and professional. As the project materialized we made several on the go changes. There is no doubt that these add-on's pushed the crew back in their scheduling but everyone was very accommodating. Over the winter several of the arbs and trees died or did not look healthy. As it was explained, the inventory from the previous year was quite sparse because of Covid. Jim Antonelli himself came to the house, inspected the yard and had a crew out within a few days to replace the dead or failing shrubs and even spruced up the mulch. A: No unfortunately this is a gunite pool **Q: Fire bar** *(in Photo Questions)* Could this table bar work under a raised hexagon deck? Would there be enough clearance for the fire? What is the approximate cost of this bar, fire table if to be built over a paver patio? A: Hi the gas flame is a controlled flame that will not be very high so technically you could build one of these under a raised deck without any issues. Will it coincide with city codes is another question?
