In 1990, Old Biscayne Designs (OBD) began manufacturing fine iron beds and wood furniture designs derived from European antiques. Nick and Gretchen Gabrielli welded their cultures; his of Argentine aristocratic elegance and hers of southern simplicity and charm to form a company that crafts and hand-finishes furniture to each customer’s unique specifications. The evolution of the OBD service model is centered around wholesale collaborations with design professionals. OBD is represented by high-end retail furniture stores, wholesale furniture showrooms in all major markets, and independent interior design studios throughout the United States and Canada. 

In a world of mass production, OBD honors the art form of one-of-a-kind furniture design. The company currently boasts standard finishing options including 100+ wood finishes and 80+ metal finishes as well as specialty finishing options including gold & silver leafing, weathering, and custom finishes. Other specialty options include various wood species, hardware, mirror accents, original sculpted wood patterns, and hardware.

Who makes this table?

A: We custom hand-craft and hand-finish each piece. Custom designs average a 10-12 week production time. Iron beds and standard orders are closer to an 8 week production time in many cases.  Thank you for mentioning us, @terinickele.
