We are going with black appliances vs. stainless. Just undecided on the countertop. Originally wanted to go with the giallo fiorito, but think I have more options (ie. backsplash, paint, etc.) with the uba tuba. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. A: Totally - uba tuba would be a nice contrast **Q: Love this kitchen, and love the dark cabinets below.** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Thank you, it is a trend that has been around for a few years now and we don't foresee it going away anytime soon. **Q: Before and After Euro Kitchen remodel.** *(in Before & After)* This a waterfront home in the Bremerton Wa, is located in the Manette area. This older 1940's home remodel came with a flat roof. The owners were in desperate need to find a solution to updating their kitchen to what they wanted. The kitchen was quite cramped and small. By removing a center row of cabinets, I was able to open the kitchen up to the dining and living room area. By adding a mirror to the back of the oven cabinet that we relocated next to their closet, it made the room expand and create a nice reflection of their waterfront. The peninsula countertop was made from Italian glass that appears to look as if water was spilled onto it. A: Looks great! **Q: White appliances... keep them or change to stainless?** *(in Polls)* Just bought a new house and need to make a decision regarding the kitchen appliances. The previous owner had a completely new kitchen put in with cherry cabinetry and granite counters but didn't splurge on stainless steel. I would really rather not paint over such beautiful hardwood, but outfitting with all new appliances is going to be quite a bit of money... All input appreciated! A: Check with the manufacturer and see if you can order stainless handles for your white appliances. **Q: Would you use drawers or doors with pull out shelves on either side of range?** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hi, I will have 30" base cabinets on either side of 36" wolf range. Should the cabinets have drawers or doors with pull out shelves? I'll be storing cooking utensils, pots, pans, casserole dishes, tupperware, cookie sheets, mixer & possibly food processor. Which type of storage is best? Thanks for your time & expertise! A: Drawers are the easiest storage, but measure your items to make sure they will fit in a drawer.
