> The first time I hired Mark was to build me an Arts and Crafts railing for a stairway from my kitchen to my family room. I provided him with a photo of what I liked and he re-created it for me perfectly. The workmanship surpassed anything I could have imagined and he even came up with a way to hide an unsightly hole that was left by the old railing  that fit in perfectly with the design of the new railing.    Many many months later I hired him to build me an Arts and Crafts mantle for a fireplace that is surrounded by what can only be considered the most difficult foundation for a carpenter to work with. The stonework that I am talking about is very uneven and presented a tremendous  obstacle for attaching the beautiful mantle he made to the stone. However after much consideration and research he actually cut out parts of the back of the mantle so they would seamlessly fit against the stone and the stones that were protruding too much for him to work with he sanded down for me! I almost don’t want to leave this glowing review for him because I want to keep him a secret so that he can be my personal  Arts and Crafts carpenter.  I cannot recommend him enough. He  answers all inquiries and emails in a timely fashion and is very patient with changes and indecision on the part of his client.  He is also reasonably priced for the incredible work that he does. He also uses the highest quality wood. You will not be disappointed with anything that he creates for you.

He is our 'go to' and has completed the most basic tasks to the most elaborate ones we have, methodically, efficiently and with the added ability to make suggestions subtly that all of us need in many situations.  His work for us includes: creating a walk in closet where there was no easy way to do it; small B/R built in wood wall unit w/closet, drawers, shelves and desk; a magnificent conversion of an old worn out lemonade porch (never used) to an enclosed 3-season favorite sun room and \#1 hangout; large paneled trellis with metal accents for our back patio and the list goes on.  If you want craftsmanship over the typical 'bang it out' mentality, he is at the top of the list.
