You no longer need to wonder where to get fine quality design and custom cabinetry. Please call or e-mail if you have any questions or wish to set up an appointment.

Cost will depend on each project. We do walk-in repairs starting at $35 and we also do some large projects that cost several hundred thousand dollars. Most are somewhere in between. The typical kitchen that we work on will cost somewhere between $35,000 and $75,000. Pricing is based on the type of materials and finish as well as the complexity of the design.

### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Susan Manning, Dec. 2022**

> Thank you to Jim Farris Cabinets for our beautiful new kitchen cabinets. Jim had previously built new cabinets for both of our bathrooms, so we knew of his professionalism and that his work is top quality. His suggestions for ways to improve the overall look of our kitchen and to increase the amount of cabinet space without increasing the footprint of the cabinets in the kitchen has been the most surprising and delightful part of the project. It is so nice to work with a contractor who will answer your calls and take the time to respond to your questions. His team showed the same professionalism when they installed the cabinets. They were very careful with the cabinets and all surrounding areas and left everything clean when they were finished.

**Comment from Jim Farris Cabinets:**

> Thank you so much for the wonderful review. It was a real pleasure working together again.

**★★★★★ — Seth Aldridge, Nov. 2022**

> Jim came highly recommended by a builder we had worked with previously. We presented Jim with a very challenging project. We wanted a custom rolling, folding office table with a large, hinged table drop-leaf that can be placed within our cabinet or pulled out and expanded for meetings. The trick was that we wanted the table to look seamless when the leaf is dropped and seamless when the leaf was raised. Jim's solution was to build a rounded hinge out of the tabletop’s solid walnut. He also solved the counterbalance issue of having a heavy drop leaf by integrating an elegant steel plate into the bottom frame. This was truly a unique project. Our table is one-of-a-kind. Jim's craftsmanship and eye for detail are bar-none. More importantly, I'm convinced he can make any idea happen. He thought through our list of wants and customized a piece of furniture that become a work of art. We cannot recommend Jim Farris enough.

**Comment from Jim Farris Cabinets:**

> I have used Jim Farris cabinets for several projects over the past year. Most recently we made modifications to the cabinets in our kitchen. Jim came out to the house and was able to guide us in to modifications that would give us the biggest impact. He created a custom island cabinet, refaced a few cabinet doors, added corbels and glazed the existing cabinetry. I would recommend Jim for any project where quality and craftsmanship is important to you.

**Comment from Jim Farris Cabinets:**

**★★★★★ — Lynne Woods, Jan. 2022**

> Jim Farris Cabinets is great to work with. Jim came to my house to see what I wanted and then with his talented craftsmen designed and built two 7 foot bookcases to match a large hutch in my living room--a stunning focal point for the main room in my house. They are great to work with and produce beautiful custom furniture. Highly recommended.

**★★★★★ — Cindy Fuller, Jan. 2022**

> Great company to work with. Jim and his team are top notch. They listen to you, see your vision and then they build it. So nice when someone so talented can jump right into this head of mine!!!

**★★★★★ — Mark Widaski, Jan. 2022**

> Jim did a great job listening to what we envisioned for our cabinets including a unique finish requirement and met our expectations perfectly. We get nothing but compliments when visitors first see our cabinets!

**★★★★★ — HU-994323872, June 2021**

> We purchased a home and remodeled the home office. Jim designed and built the office cabinets, book shelves, and display areas. He brought a lot of good ideas and suggestions. The finished product is wonderful and exactly what we wanted. Jim is dependable and trustworthy, you won't be sorry if you trust him with your project.

**★★★★★ — Jennifer Monopolis, June 2021**

> Jim Farris Cabinets built a wall unit with a desk and shelves for my home study. Jim spent considerable time working with me to be sure he understood all of my requirements. The result is an excellently-crafted, beautiful, and functional piece of furniture that I will enjoy using for many years to come.

**★★★★★ — HU-399110431, Dec. 2020**

> Working with real craftsman at Jim Farris Cabinets was a such pleasure. Jim provided invaluable expertise and guidance for our bathroom renovation project. The cabinets and vanities turned out perfect and really make the bathrooms beautiful spaces. If you are looking for exacting work and expert craftmanship, look no further than Jim Farris and his team.

> I must say that before I write this review, I am still in the arduous process of arguing with my insurance company on whether they should pay for new custom cabinets as a result of an inside water damage claim. I do not wish this on an enemy. However, I needed someone to turn to that could appreciate the quality of my cabinets and I found Mr. Jim Farris. He was prompt to his appointment and his knowledge of Cherry wood and the effects of water upon them was beyond impressive. It did not take him long to explain to a lay person \[Me\] exactly why the cabinets could not be de-stained, sanded and re-stained as the insurance company desired and what would happen in the way of further damage overtime because of the water exposure. Nevertheless, he painstakingly determined the total square footage of such a job and provided a quote for same so I could send it to the insurance company. Then, he quoted what the replacement cost would be. Another thing that impressed me about Mr. Farris was his ability to readily admit the quality of work of the original cabinet maker. It takes a real "grown-up" to admit that another's work is of high quality as well as his own. I look forward to the end of these insurer negotiations so, one day, I can experience his work first hand. I recommend Mr. Farris without reservation.

**★★★★★ — Cathy, April 2020**

> We engaged Jim and his crew to help us with a few special projects for our new home. (We kept expanding the scope as we were so pleased with their work!). They constructed a beautiful live-edge walnut bartop, a custom wine storage room, a barn door, and a custom walnut table to fit a niche in our game room. In each case, the quality and the attention to detail were wonderful. Jim made suggestions in each case that enhanced the functionality and beauty of each piece. We will certainly not hesitate to contact Jim and his crew for future projects.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What is the countertop material** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the countertop and color? Beautiful!!!

A: We used Silestone White Zeus Extreme. At the time, it was all the rage as it was one of the whitest man-made quartz products.

**Q: Beautiful. Who makes the kitchen sink please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love the contrasts in color. And I'd love to know who makes the large kitchen sink. Thanks so much!

A: I looked through my records from 2004 when this kitchen was done but I don't have a manufacturer's name or model of the sink.

**Q: What material was used for the cabinets?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The cabinet exteriors in the photo in question are a furniture-grade MDF with a pigmented conversion varnish finish. The final coat was a satin sheen catalyzed clear coat. The domestic maple plywood interiors and solid beech dovetail drawers are finished with the same catalyzed clear finish system. I hope this helps. You can read more about this project on our website. www.farriscabinets.com

**Q: What color are these cabinets?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The cabinets are a warm gray with natural wood highlights.

**Q: coutertop?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the material/brand of counter?

A: The island top is a natural stone.

**Q: May I have the name of the material in the main kitchen floor please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It's a granite tile.
