## Community Q&A

**Q: Dentil Blocks/Molding on Fireplace Mantel** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello,

Are the fireplace mantel molding a particular type of dentil blocks? I would love to replicate them on my fireplace. Thanks!

A: The Fireplace surround was a custom milled assembly based upon my details. The "dentils" are wood corbels, paired together. An easily crafted millwork profile ganged with other trim to create the mantle.

**Q: What is the width of this space?** *(in Photo Questions)*

We are currently building a new home and I was wondering if I have enough room to include a free standing tub. Thank you!

A: This tub is 5' wide, the bay it sit in is 7'-8 1/2" wide.

**Q: who makes the doors and windows?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The windows and doors are Pella Designer Series, with a black gloss paint.

**Q: Flooring ideas** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the type of flooring used. Gorgeous!

A: Just sealed, the color comes from the natural patina of old wood.

**Q: David Marlow, the photographer.** *(in Photo Questions)*

I heard that this photographer is internationally know and his photographed homes have been featured numerous time in AD.
Does he still reside in Aspen and do you have his contact information?

A: David is a great photographer, and has worked with Architectural Digest for years. He has shot both of my projects which were featured in AD. He is based in Aspen, but travels the world shooting for AD. You can contact him at 970 925 8882. Best of all he is talented and you will have a blast working with him. He is a lot of fun.

**Q: What are the floors in this picture?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The Floors are reclaimed White Oak, rough sawn face, lightly screened, not sanded to keep the natural weathered patina.
