### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Kim Foster, Dec. 2023**

> We have been working with Ale on a major remodel of our home and the follow-up details to accessorize to complete the look. She is professional and attentive with excellent follow-through. We absolutely could not have completed this project without her, and we love the results.

**Comment from Alejandra Bernardez Interior Design:**

> Hi Kim,
> I enjoy working with you very much and "I love the results" is the best compliment! Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to write a review.

**★★★★★ — HU-221894580, June 2023**

> Ale was very professional throughout the entire design and remodel project. She was able to communicate effectively between all parties. Ale was helpful in helping us design our kitchen and great room area; she helped us find a kitchen style that fit our needs and family style.

**★★★★★ — Edward, June 2023**

> I recently purchased a new house and needed design help with fixtures, furniture and spatial layout etc and had the pleasure to work with Alejandra. I found her to be very creative, thoughtful, focused, accommodating and always cheerful and pleasant to work with. I was beyond happy with the results and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to hire an interior designer,

**Comment from Alejandra Bernardez Interior Design:**

> Hi Ed,
> It was a pleasure to work with you!

**★★★★★ — Ann and Dave DiMaggio, Feb. 2022**

> My wife and I hired Alejandra last year to assist us with the interior design of our new home. We selected Alejandra over three other designers. Alejandra spent a full day at the San Francisco Design Center with us visiting different showrooms. After the selection of the different items of furniture, Alejandra met us multiple times at the house to select the best material for each piece. She gave us advice on the type of fabric / leather, texture, color, and the placement of each piece in each room. Alejandra also assisted us with the selection of interior light fixtures and outdoor light fixtures. The results are amazing. One of the most stunning items she recommended was the commissioning of an original piece of wood art with LED lighting using a local artist. It is the center of the entire presentation of our new home. Guests all comment that they have never seen anything like it.
>
> In summary, Alejandra presented us with details we would never have imagined on our own. Her execution and follow-up were stellar.

**★★★★★ — Emma Jaquette, Oct. 2020**

> Ale worked with us on a kitchen/living room remodel updating an old existing, tight floor plan to an open, flowing, well functioning space that ties the whole house together. She worked with us through multiple iterations ensuring the final product met our needs, and she added valuable insight that only an interior designer could on items we never would have thought of. From coordinating ideal locations of fixtures and appliances, to lighting plans, to budget conscience suggestions that don’t sacrifice look or feel, her knowledge and advice was appreciated through the entire process. You get a true partner in Ale who will work with you through the whole project, from the ground up, to make sure you get exactly what you are after.

**★★★★★ — Arnold Glassberg, Oct. 2020**

> We have been working with Alejandra since July to design projects throughout our home. Her ideas have all been wonderful. She has a great eye and most important has worked based on our taste. She has narrowed the myriad of options down to a manageable few from which we made choices. Her connections with contractors has been invaluable. The work is almost complete and it looks fabulous. It has transformed our home from a typical production house to a warm and unique home. We recommend Alejandra without reservation.

> Alejandra is awesome to work with. Her attention to detail was on point. She listened and took a ton of notes and created an amazing master and bathroom remodel! She was always available to help even when it was last minute.

**★★★★★ — Valerie Phillips, Oct. 2020**

> We are still in the midst of our project, and can't begin to imagine what it would be like if we weren't working with Alejandra. Her attention to detail is extraordinary. She has effortlessly removed the obstacles we ran into before hiring her. She has listened to us talk about our vision and provided us with excellent advice to make sure the outcome exceeds our original expectation. She never allows her ideas to be stronger than ours--but has provided us with appropriate, thoughtful, and respectful guidance. She's introduced us to some outstanding professionals who have approached our project with the same level of enthusiasm and attention to detail that she has. She has excellent communication skills and follows-up in the time-frame she says she will. She's also very generous in sharing her sources/resources. The ones we've used, we've been very satisfied with. Alejandra is prompt to every appointment and gives her full attention to the tasks at hand. I would highly recommend her to everyone I know. In fact, we've already been doing that for months and as recently as yesterday.

**★★★★★ — Annie Nguyen, Oct. 2018**

> Ale helped us do our floorplan and prepared the plans for the city building dept. She did an excellent job. As always, we had to tweak a few things, but the house looks GREAT. She was very easy to work with and met all of our timelines. She was great!

**★★★★★ — Irby McMichael, Sept. 2017**

> Alejandra was a pleasure to work with. She was always cheerful, responsive and easy to get in touch with, and took the tremendous pressure of the remodel off my shoulders. She is extremely capable in CAD drawing of plans which enabled my contractor to know exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend her.

**Comment from Alejandra Bernardez Interior Design:**

> Thank you Irby for your kind words. It has been a pleasure to work with you!

**★★★★★ — Amanda Klein, Sept. 2016**

> Ale is amazing! I am very particular (I think it took me six months to pick out hardware for my kitchen) and Ale was patient and helpful the whole way through. Would recommend her to any of my friends!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Need help with curb appeal** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Would like to add some curb appeal to our home. About all I can think of is perhaps shutters. However, the windows under the porch are too close to the railing to accommadate shutters. The house is cedar sided and painted in BM Platinum. The front door color while not very visible in the photos is a custom Scandinavian blue. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

A: I would definitely paint garage door to blend it in with the rest of the house, add colorful flowers, and incorporate a stone pathway towards steps with lighting and flowers on the sides. A simple looking wind chime could add a relaxing touch. Also mix a few bird feeder sticks between bushes to attract nature!
