### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Paul Vivian, Feb. 2020**

> I can't express my admiration for the quality of Flexfire LED's product and their equally remarkable customer service. I made my initial purchases in 2017. It was a small order but I was a novice and I needed technical guidance and I got it. Then my project was delayed for three years. Last week I had to contact Flexfire LED's to be reminded of everything I had forgot. Ana Maria was simply amazing, patiently explaining every step of the way. After three years in storage, every transformer, remote dimmer and strip of LEDs is functioning flawlessly.

> Flexfire went above and beyond to setup a nice LED kit for me. I initially liked the kit. The dimmer remote is great and high quality. The LED strips themselves put out nice light. My 16 ft strip came with a 3 defective areas. I thought I would have no issues since they had been easy to deal with on the original sale. Flexfire will not send me a replacement and stopped answering my emails until I told them I am going to seek help from my credit card company. Very disappointing.

> Great product and fantastic customer service! The only problems I had were on my end but the Flexfire crew came through and helped me work it out! The customer is very pleased with the end results! I will definitely be back for the next project!

**Comment from Flexfire LEDs:**

> Thank you so much for the review! We all get happy when we hear the customer is pleased with the end results. You were no doubt an awesome part of their joy. Thanks for supporting us and let us know if there is anything we can do to further support you and your projects.

> Purchased LED strip from Flexfire. the controls I recieved did not work properly. I also had an installation question about the product.
> THeir customer service is terrible. how any messages do I need to leave to get ANY KIND OF RESPONSE. I have called, but their lines are ALWAYS on voice mail. I NEVER get a call back. I have sent e-mails, but NEVER get a response. this is one of the WORST customer service experiences I have had.

**★★★★★ — rickey05, Dec. 2014**

> Hands down, the best customer service I have had at an LED company or any company for that matter. David is knowledgeable and passionate about LEDs and it is contagious. As an amateur in the LED world, his instruction and help has been great. Keep the unique and different LED options coming as they are needed in my profession.

**★★★★★ — wekengolf, Oct. 2014**

> I purchased the Architectural Ultra Bright LED's for an under cabinet install. The lights were better than I expected. I use a dimmer switch so I can adjust the brightness which is a good thing cause these lights are bright (bright white). They were easy to install and run a lot cooler than the old halogen lights I had previously.
> Sales and service where a great help when I was trying to decide what I needed to complete the project.
> I will definitely purchase from Flexfire for any of my future led lights that I might need.

**★★★★★ — dbartell7, Oct. 2014**

> I didn't want the potentially toxic mercury of the fluorescents in my RV. Additionally when they failed they would at times leave blistered brown marks on the fixture lenses. These issues I hoped to overcome with LEDs. Looking around online I eventually came to Flexfire. To sample the product I initially ordered 4 feet of their flexible LED strand and found it to be simple to work with and very bright. Excellent experience with both the product and the customer service representative who helped me select the parts I needed. I intend to order more.
>
> Thank you Flexfire!

**★★★★★ — wallyfort, Oct. 2014**

> I bought 2 reels of the natural white leds and installed them as up lighting in our kitchen that has a cathedral ceiling. The lights are on a dimmer switch and work great. The Wash of the up lighting spills over into the dinning /living room and helps brighten that part of the house too.
> We no longer use the ceiling track lighting with its 3 100w bulbs as this lighting provides more lighting with less shadows.

**★★★★★ — jacobahale, Sept. 2014**

> I needed to build a compact and bright LED backlight for high speed video photography. Wanting an option that was highly modular I decided on the Flexfire LEDs. I purchased the Outdoor Design Ultra Bright series because I would have these up close to water which was the object of the video. The ability of the LED spool to be cut at small increments allowed me to create two very bright and very uniform backlights by laying short strips side by side in a back and forth orientation. I purchased the quick connectors which worked well to link short strips side by side into an array (though to save space I ended up soldering them together which was very easy given the design of the strip contacts). After caulking the ends I had two compact, bright and waterproof LED backlights that have worked wonderfully for my videos.

**★★★★ — akwiram, Sept. 2014**

> I purchased a six foot length of flesfire LED lights (architectural series at 24V). These were the highest output LEDs available at about 500 lumens per foot for a total of just over 3000 lumens. The installation was straightforward, the service was excellent when I consulted before purchasing and the lights now work fine. Unfortunately, the power supply shipped originally did not work (had zero output) but when I called the company they immediately offered to replace it and did so promptly after I returned the original one. Then everything worked as advertised. I mounted the strip on a 1/16" x 8' length of aluminum angle stock. The staff was always courteous and helpful. I would do business with them again.
>
> The only drawback is that the units are a bit price! Moreover, I don't know whether it is an optical illusion or whether it is my lighting configuration, but the light is not as pervasive as I had expected. It is mounted behind a valence in front of some bookshelves. The light is fine, but I would have expected that 3000 lumens would have lit up the room more. If I turn on a 250W quartz halogen lamp (about the same number of lumens) I seem to light up the room a lot more. Obviously the two form factors are different but I am still puzzled by the results. The LEDs barely serve my needs but will be adequate. Had I known what the light would be like I probably would have installed some fluorescent tubes (in the available space) at about a quarter of the cost and gotten more illumination in the room.

> We considered purchasing Flexfire LEDs for replacement lights in our Bakery curved glass display case. We spoke with "Ruy" at Flexfire and discussed the pro's and con's of the LEDs and how to install these. He was very helpful. We bought LEDs on a roll as well as a power transformer and replaced our old problematic lights. VERY PLEASED with the rusults! We now leave the display lights on 24/7, they are an eye catcher (ever without product in the case). See our display case on Goggle Earth with the LEDs (Lighthouse Bakery, LLP, Dauphin Island, Alabama) select the "Go Inside" option and check out how good the display case looks with Flexfire LEDs!

**Comment from Flexfire LEDs:**

> Thank you so much for the review! We are so excited to be able to virtually visit your store. That is really cool! We are always here to help design and answer any questions you may have. We may have to schedule a visit for those cinnamon rolls I see there. They look amazing ;D. Thanks again for the purchase and review. Welcome to the Flexfire family!

**★★★★★ — rmpeebles, Sept. 2014**

> I live full time in a RV. In May 2014 I ordered a set of bright white LED's to replace the bulbs in a defective florescent fixture in my RV. I quickly realized I had accidentally ordered 24 volt devices instead of 12 volt. I sent an email to Flexfire asking for help. Ollie Lythe the sales manager was very quick to respond. He corrected my order to ship our 12 volt LED's and credited my account with the difference. This was all accomplished in less than an hour.
> The LED's arrived within a few days and I found them very easy to install. They were installed at the highest point in my RV, above the kitchen and provide a much brighter, whiter light than the florescent light. I have been using them for 3 months and like them so much I intend to replace the bulbs in the remaining six florescent fixtures in my RV with Flexfire LED's. They have a great product and the service is excellent.

## Community Q&A

**Q: are these lights direct wire and can be trimmed to size needed** *(in Product Questions)*

A: Thank you for expressing interest in Flexfire LEDs. These lights must be wired through a power supply unit for use in homes and businesses. They can be cut to the exact dimensions necessary to fulfill your project needs.

**Q: What color temperatures for each light color?** *(in Product Questions)*

I am interested in using these in a room with 5000-5500K lighting. Is either bright white or natural white close to that?

A: Thank you for expressing interest in Flexfire LEDs. Please reach out to us to speak with one of our on-call lighting specialists who will be able to answer all your questions about our Natural and Bright White LED strip lights. You can find our contact information on our Houzz profile: http://www.houzz.com/pro/flexfireleds

**Q: Only one foot long?** *(in Product Questions)*

Does each 12" strip have its own outlet plug? How long is the reel string of lights? Not clear from picture/ detail description.

A: Hi - we sell our strip lights either by the foot or by the reel - which is 16.4 feet (5 meters). There are a couple of different ways these lights can be powered; it depends on where and how you'll be installing them. Glad to discuss your project in greater detail to clear some of this up...

**Q: Question about a bed used for flexfire led lighting.** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello my name is Ryan Skinner. I was looking at new beds and found a photo on your website of a bed used in an advertisement for flexfire led lighting. My fiance and I absolutely love this bed but can't seem to find it on your website would you be willing to help please? If I receive an email from Houzz I will gladly attach a photo of the bed were looking for. Thank you for your time.

A: Hi Ryan - this look is really easy to achieve with a pretty wide variety of bed designs (we sell the lights, but not beds). It uses LED strip lights attached to the frame's underside, and you might consider attaching a dimmer to control brightness from i.e. a bedside table/nightstand. Let us know if you have more questions - one of our lighting specialists can walk you through everything.

**Q: Cove lighting (LED STRIP LIGHTS)** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi, I love your work!
What do you use for the center circle lighting ?

A: Not sure what Clark Gaynor used in particular but you could definitely achieve this desired effect using static color LED strip lights (or remote-controlled color changing RGB!) installed inside the cove channel

**Q: How can I install this light in to my kitchen ,we live in North Americ** *(in Product Questions)*

Can I install this light under my kitchen cabinet ?

A: LED strip lights are great for under cabinet installations. Adhesive backing and sodderless connectors offer a simple solution for getting elegant indirect light into your kitchen. Give us a call at 1-844-flexfire to talk with one of our technical and design specialists to see how we can help you with your lighting project
