A: Thank you for contacting LKW Design. This is a custom table we designed and had made by a local craftsman for our client. **Q: Assistance with grout selection please!!** *(in Design Dilemma)* I am currently making some changes to my kitchen with hopes of making it lighter/brighter. We live in the woods and there isn't much natural light available. We recently replaced the laminate counters with granite (Venetian Bronze) and I've chosen a glass 3x6 subway tile (Urban Hues Latte) for the backsplash. Can anyone suggest what color grout I should use? I don't know whether to go lighter or darker than the tile. In the photos my walls are still orange but I plan to paint them in a much more neutral a beige/ cream color. I've picked up samples in the Mapei brand as well as the Tec color chart. Thanks so much for any assistance! A: Our rule of thumb is to match the grout to the tile as much as possible so that the tile is focal point not the grout joints. A: Whats the distance between the sink wall and peninsula? **Q: Kitchen floor plan feedback** *(in Design Dilemma)* I drew this floorplan my self and would like to get some feedback whether this design is alright? Dimensions are included in the pic. Basically its a L shaped kitchen with a 2.5'x9' island, next to it is a dining area. Will this space feel packed? Any other ideas? A: Consider a peninsula with pendants which you can make deep enough for seating on one side, storage on kitchen side and great workspace.
