> Paula was contacted to redesign the first floor living spaces of my home. She is organized, professional and listened to specific requests. After meeting, she contacted me with timeline and budget, and we set a date for project.
> As planned, she and her team did the redesign and it is fabulous. All of the specifics were met and the budget was on target. I could not be happier with this project-kudos to Paula at simplyputinteriors.

**★★★★★ — The Maryland Design Center, Nov. 2015**

> The Maryland Design Center is always delighted to refer Paula! Whether her clients' style is a bit of glam, requires an exciting pop of color, or a swath of soothing tones, Paula guides them through the design process. Watching her interact with a variety of homeowners, from families to empty-nesters, Paula is mindful of budgets, timelines, and creative details. Again, we are always delighted to refer Paula Henry of Simply Put Interiors.

> Simply Put Interiors has come into my home and transformed my living and dining rooms into comfortable designs that reflect my personal taste. My most recent call for Paula Henry's expertise was in selecting materials for a complete bathroom overhaul. This was accomplished in a single day because of Paula's broad background, experience and relationships with quality vendors. I certainly could not have accomplished this on my own. I would highly recommend Simply Put Interiors for any redesign project.

> I've hired Simply Put Interiors on several occasions and I am always thrilled with the results. I recently moved to a loft apartment (with 15' ceilings) in Center City Philadelphia and was starting from scratch (rather than a redesign). Paula did a great job of marrying the style of the apartment (modern) and me (more classic and cozy)! Paula helped me picked furniture, rugs, and other big pieces, and then added her magic with the finishing touches that just pull everything together - pillows, plants, bedding, bathroom accessories - the works! Paula knows how to create a space that is stylish, livable and comfortable.

> I had the pleasure of working with Paula on two separate projects. She listens and takes into consideration your budget and is mindful of specific requirements. Paula took the pain and stress out of selecting hardwood floors for kitchen and living room and offered other design ideas. ! I love the transformation!

> Paula Henry's talents in interior design and redesigns are nothing short of superior. Her work in numerous BSO Showhouses gave me a glimspe into her various styling abilities. Her redesign work in a home for sale gave us reason to choose Paula to recreate our interior surroundings.
>
> What a marveleous outcome! Six months later and I'm enamored by our home that hightlights our interests and tastes. Paula listens and then redesigns with your furntiture and accents to create a new space.

> Paula helped us with the home design of our living room, dining room and family room and we couldn't be more thrilled! It definitely had the "wow factor" based on feedback from anyone that comes into our home but more than that, it's given our family a sense of peace whenever we walk through the front door. Paula also did a great job working within our budget and always offered more economical alternatives. We're now working with her on the next stage of our home design and I can't wait to see what she comes up with!

> Every time I walk in my front door I just smile! Simply Put Interiors took my ideas and colors and did an amazing job transforming six of my rooms into a warm, inviting and livable home. Paula had many color choices and ideas, then gave me time to process her ideas and welcomed my thoughts and changes. I enjoyed the entire process working with Paula, she was easy to work with, worked within my budget and the end result was magnificent.

> I met Paula at the Maryland Home and Garden a few years ago, where she created an amazing baseball-themed man cave that I didn't want to leave. We had her come to our house to help remodel the kitchen, living room, and master bathroom. Paula did an amazing job laying out her vision for us. She re-imagined our furniture layout in a way I never thought was even possible, and not only did it become more functional but it looked amazing! She squeezed extra counter and cabinet space into the kitchen, which was desperately needed, and now it looks like something out of a magazine. We went for a clean, contemporary look in the master bathroom, and Paula nailed it with beautiful tiles, window treatments, and a spa-like vanity she had custom-made. I recommend Paula at Simply Put Interiors to everyone, and it's icing on the cake that she's such a friendly and engaging person!

> Paula is awesome. With her creative genius, and items already in my house, she transformed my ordinary uninviting great room into a beautiful space that I love to spend time in.
> More recently, we met to get a bathroom renovation underway. With her guidance I was able to pickout all the hardware and fixtures in less than an hour, something that would have taken me days had I tried it alone.
> She's reliable, always asks about the budget, and is considerate and thoughtful with her advice.
> I'm giving one of my daughters who is planning a kitchen renovation, the gift of a consultation with Paula for her birthday. Can't wait to see what they create!

**★★★★★ — ajkligman, Feb. 2015**

> Paula is a true professional. Her knowledge and creativity go without saying. Paula's true strength is her ability to listen to and understand her clients visions. Paula came to my house and designed the perfect living room/ dining room for us with many of my most precious possessions which I had no idea what to do with.
>
> Paula handled everything and at the end of the day when I returned home to the big reveal, I couldn't believe that it was my house. We love the end result and would highly recommend Paula anytime.

**★★★★★ — phillipslinda, Feb. 2015**

> Paula Henry has a natural gift and innate talent for beautification. She takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary. She seems to approach each new space as an empty palate and designs it with creative, artistic genius. Whether its a simplistic natural look or a sophisticated, spectacular sparkle you're looking for (we hired her for both), she listens to exactly what you say you are looking for and creates a design that WOWs you! And, somehow, while creating her extraordinary design, Paula creates comfort. Everything she has created for us has resulted in making our house more of a home, a cozy retreat, a welcoming and captivating place of beauty. Paula is a wonderful person, a trusting professional and we are blessed to know her and have her as our Interior Designer and friend.

 - Description: I was hired to design this Urban Waterfront Condo. This is phase 1. My client wanted a light, airy look in the main living area. I designed 4 display cabinets that lead you into the space. The main order of business for the kitchen was adding storage space which was accomplished by creating a large pantry and adding additional cabinets.

 - Description: This beautiful Nursery started with a backdrop of glitter infused black paint that was wrapped around the entire room, including the ceiling. The floor was in terrible condition so it was painted and a star motif was added around the border. A round crib is centered in the room, anchored by a silver rug and topped off with a silver-leaf, starburst ceiling medallion. A crystal chandelier fills in for a mundane mobile and reflects all over the room. An antique Empire armoire was hand-painted and h…

The "before" pictures will show you how tired and dated the Kitchen and Family Room were. I designed custom kitchen cabinets and family room built-in. I wonder if you can guess where the TV is housed? It is behind the doors to the right. The doors lift up and push back into the unit and the TV pulls out to face multi…

 - Description: A dated Master Bathroom is brought to life with a mixture of clean lines and organic textures. A freestanding tub is the focal point in this bathroom. It sits on a "faux wood" porcelain tile with radiant heat. 12" X 24" wall tiles are applied on the entire window wall and accented with a 1" X 1" glass mosaic tile. The use of a frameless shower door sets off the shower area. The window is covered with a natural woven wood shade. The vanity was custom-built and I designed it to look like it is all…

 - Description: My clients: She is an avid Home Chef. He loves building furniture as a hobby. They wanted an updated and functional kitchen with plenty of seating and storage. After so many years, they still loved their white cabinets so the new perimeter cabinets are white and the island is a contrasting grey. The new island is considerably larger with lots of storage, microwave and warming drawer. We tore out the original desk and pantry area to make room for the relocated refrigerator and a dry bar. - Description: As you enter the home, the Library/Home Office is situated immediately to the right. My clients wanted a Dramatic room that appealed to and functioned for both of them. We kept several pieces including the settee that we had re-upholstered. Walls are faux-finished in a black vertical strip in alternating finishes, one with a damask motif. Each finish is separated by gold stripes of varying widths. We also kept the existing plantation shutters and added new top treatments on the two side windows.…

 - Description: This was a lovely space to work with. The most challenging element were the windows, all different. My objective was to create a seamless look and keep the eye moving around the room. I accomplished it with the use of a neutral paint color and matching sheer draperies, all designed to make the windows look the same. A Baby Grand Piano is the focal point of the room and I love the playful animal print rug and ottomans. I was inspired to design a custom sofa table to follow the curves of the sofa.…

## Community Q&A

**Q: Beautiful color** *(in Photo Questions)*

I'm interested in knowing the color of this room.
It's just beautiful! Looks like it could be Benjamin Moore color?

A: Unfortunately the file is archived and I don't remember the paint color. It would have been Sherwin Williams. Sorry I couldn't give you more information. Good luck.

**Q: Love the wallpaper! Where can I locate it?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The wallcovering was custom-made. Original watercolors were digitally printed onto the paper.

**Q: To wallpaper or not to wallpaper this is the question please help!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

HI I am remodeling my powder room. I am wondering if I should wallpaper three walls. We did a stone wall on the far wall. If yes what kind of wallpaper if no what kind of paint
.

A: Let your stone wall be the star. Very lovely.

**Q: Shall I go over to the dark side?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

This bookcase in my library/study is due to be painted and I have to pick a colour. I'm considering going very dark, off-black or charcoal. The walls, ceiling and all the woodwork are white, the floor is whitewashed oak. What do you think?

Opposite wall:

A: Consider painting the back wall of the shelves and editing out some of the books so the color shows through. I know book lovers have a hard time parting with their books but reorganizing and adding some accessories might be very nice. It may also help "lighten" up the bookshelf wall which feels heavy compared to what you have on the other side of the room. If you are not opposed to taking some of the covers off, many books have wonderful hard covers that are less fussy than the paper covers and can be lots of fun to work with. Happy Decorating!

**Q: Ceiling color ?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Am going for Spanish medditereanean look. My question is should I paint beams chocolate and the roof slats white like the walls?

A: Yes, but be aware the chocolate beams will really draw your eye up.

**Q: I like the tub- who makes it?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This is a Kohler tub. Thanks and best of luck.
