I've spent much of my life in and around the southwest - allowing the country and people to influence me. I moved to Breckenridge, Colorado after graduation from college, the mountain environment played a large role in my livelihood and subject matter. I worked as a wall finish artist, aging walls, painting murals, installing hand printed papers until the need for natural materials steered me in a different direction. Learning to apply natural plasters exposed me to textures and dimension. My market consists mainly of second homeowners, with homes changing hands often. The need to create personal touches that could go with the homeowner became apparent and I began Nomadic Walls. The walls on the main floor of my house were treated with a specialty plaster - American Clay Enjarre in Snow Canyon. The finish and quality of Janet's work is superb. The walls are soft and inviting with subtle color variations. Janet even went above and beyond when she had to repair walls in a NEW home because the builder installed radiant heating thermostats in the wrong locations in my house. Wires were left exposed on the wall surfaces and the builder did nothing to hide the wires before Janet could begin her repairs. She even dug her car out of mounds of snow to drive to my house only to find the work not ready to begin. Janet made a return trip to hide the wires herself and that is NOT her job! Then she repaired the walls with the plaster and no one would ever know a repair was done.
