They do it around the end of July beginning of August of 2025, come May 20th of 2026 the roof attached to the back of the house over the kitchen starts to leak during a short downpour. I call Able just after they open to let them know and I'm told it would be $500 to come tarp a roof with a 20 year warranty after 10 months of it being installed, I turn it down because it had stopped raining and their representative said they would send a crew out on Friday May 22nd between 11am- 1pm to address the issue. After the call we looked for our contract to see what was covered. That's when we realized everything had been done on the salesmen's tablet and he never sent a paper or email copy to us, so now we had to ask them to send that so we could review it ourselves. Friday comes and at 10:30am one man shows up to diagnose the problem, not the crew I was told I had to wait two days for that we're going to fix the problem. He goes up and takes a look and comes down and tells us that the apron behind the flashing that butts up to side of the house was installed wrong by their guys so water was running down the siding, behind the roof and into the ceiling of our kitchen. He tells us he's going to go back to the office and they will give us a call to schedule the repair. About 2 hours later I call them to see if anything will be done today and if not can they do something to keep it from getting worse because they still want to claim they're not responsible for interior damage even though it was their negligence that has caused the problem. So I figured I'll wait until Saturday for a call before I started making complaints because they're open and they had an opportunity to at least call us but not a word. So now it's Saturday night on a Memorial Day weekend that it's supposed to rain everyday of. 0 stars if I could. **★★★★★ — HU-635726323, May 2025** > Able Roof did an outstanding job on on replacing our 30 year old bald and sad roof with Chris Smith as the project manager. It was a quick and seamless set up, install, and clean up. We even got 0% financing for 6 years thanks to Chris and Wells Fargo. The roof is beautiful! We got to choose from an array of colors and chose Brownwood. The roof was completed in just one day and the clean up was impeccable! No complaints at all. Able roofing missed out a line item of work from my insurance estimate in their contract and I signed the contract without reading it line by line, trusting them. Finally, when I asked them about replacing/repairing the windows frames work in my insurance estimate they washed their hands off saying it was not in the contract and they are not going to do it, essentially putting the onus on me that I should have read the contract completely. I agree, that trusting able roofing was my mistake. So, do not trust Able Roofing on what they say. Read the contract line by line, if you can, before signing. **★ — HU-324101234, Oct. 2020** > If I could give a zero I would. This is the worst company I have ever seen. Poor quality work. Trash left all over my yard from the roofing crew. I was assured by the salesman if they littered it would be picked up. That didn’t happened they pulled in the driveway that morning and dropped all their trash in my driveway and front yard. Soda cans food trash it was horrible. Had a Ridge vent exposed to the naked eye, “project manager” tried to tell me it was a glare. I have pictures. Signed the contract July 10. It’s now October and project just completed. One headache after another. We had them do the gutters too. Gutter was crooked and very poor craftsmanship. They said it was because my house was old. Then said my roof was bubbling and I ask how able just put that roof on? Left the straps to the gutter exposed. Said he couldn’t put them under the shingles. Said it would rip them apart. Brand new roof able just installed a month earlier. Think they hire anyone they can. This gutter guy was not a professional and neither was the roofers. Phone call after phone call, poor communication with employees and customer. Even talked to Dan the production manager assured me he was going to take care of it. Well that didn’t happen. Please if your thinking about having work done at your home. Don’t even think about Able Roof. Thank you again for your time, and happy holidays! **★ — mmonice81\_88, Aug. 2017** > I contacted able roof in the spring of 2017 when I discovered I had a leak in my kitchen I had a very convincing and very polite sales person we agreed on a plan of action to address the leak as well as some additional cosmetic work we had a rainier than usual spring and early summer and the job was delayed probably three times to no fault of able roof when the contractors were able to initiate the process they showed up on the intended day at the intended time 1 p.m. they were very cordial very neat very friendly but left before the job was completed there was some discussion about rotting wood that needed to be replaced opposed to being covered and that the initial representative underestimated the time required to complete the job and that the job would require much more detailed than what was described they promptly left between 5:30 and 6 p.m. that evening. about a week or so later I contacted the office and ask when the job was going to be completed the person that I spoke to was unaware that the job hadn't been completed and promise to call me back yet another week and a half maybe 2 weeks went by and still no contact I called again left messages called again left another message I was contacted today August 17th by the accounting department asking for final payment for a job that has not been completed. I also failed to mention that since the partial work was completed we had a pretty major rain storm and the area that was repaired the initial area of concern was still leaking. I was told by the original salesperson the roofing material in question would be replaced the contractors told me that their work order said to repair it so they simply hammer down the area that was sticking up but that was completely different than what the salesperson and I initially talked about we were very detailed in what needed to be done as I had done some research and was very familiar with the process. **Comment from Able Roofing:** > Hi Mmonice, I apologize you did not have a good experience with us, this doesn't sound like us at all! I would love to look in this for you, but I need a little bit of information to look up your particular account. If you could give me the name of the person who signed the contract or the address that was worked on that would be great. Again, this does not sound like us and I would love to make amends in any way possible. I hope I can help, and I apologize again that you did not have a pleasant experience. **★★★★★ — Karyn Prater, March 2017** > Fair price, stable company, good workmanship. I was treated with respect and given an honest assessment of the house. They worked with me to find the best solution for our budget and the needs of the house. Also made recommendations to improve the ventilation and longevity of the roof. **★ — dg016562, July 2014** > Roof is 14+years old with some hail damage (minor). Called to setup an appointment and got questions like, What is your wifes name and phone number. Seems invasive and unneeded, what if she is dead or I don't have one??? On the appointed day I received a call from the appraiser requesting to show up almost 2 hours early. No problem, I was at home anyway. He said he would work with the insurance company, this did not happen. I contacted my insurance and arranged for a meet between the ins appraiser and Able appraiser. Able did not call or show. Ins appraiser called his and was told he by Able he would not make it. After appraiser left and ins finished their work and I got what I needed to proceed, Able wasn't available to discuss replacing the roof. Roof is 29 square according to both appraisers. Able quoted $18,000 using their special roofing underlayment. This seems to much for to little. I am disappointed that they never came or called back to discuss.
