**★★★★★ — Deborah Santoro, Oct. 2018**

> Michel Stocki re-designed my bedroom and master bathroom and I am so impressed. The bedroom came out even better than the design drawing and gives a real “Wow” factor when you walk in. The modern clean design is inviting and easy to maintain. Michel started with a story board took into consideration every detail requested - from color, texture and functionality. The master bathroom is exactly what I envisioned with a sleek Asian feel. The large tile and free-standing tub makes the room look luxurious. He designed in plenty of storage with a large mirrored cabinet and under the sink draws.
> There is a heated floor, towel warmer, large walk in shower and a custom sink/counter top that is all one piece of stone. The shelf along the sink, that continues into the shower area is beautiful and functional. Michel is friendly and easy to work with, taking your wish list and producing a design that is exactly (and more) than you envisioned. He is always available to discuss the project and is willing to think outside the box to make things work. Michel is extremely professional and he will collaborate closely with the contractor to make sure everything is right.

> I hired Michal to first help come up with some suggestions for our living room renovation and he was very accommodating with trying to understand what it was we were looking for and coming up with different ideas to work with. We ended up working with him later on the kitchen redesign and could not be happier with the way it turned out and in particular our tiled backsplash is a hit when we have guests over. Michal was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. I felt like he was able to take our imagination and put it into work with our kitchen and living area.

**★★★★★ — Marc Warren, June 2017**

> We're extremely happy with our new apartment thanks to Michal. We got a new place and wanted to reconfigure the layout and redo the interiors - he is detail oriented, extremely knowledgeable technically and incredibly creative. He worked closely for us, understood our needs and style and gave our home a unique modern feel. He is very polite and understanding and will advise you keeping your best interest in mind. Highly recommended.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Adding a wood beam to our living room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am thinking about adding a faux wood beam in our living room at the peak but wondering if Just one across the middle will look silly. Any suggestions ware welcome

A: Hi there, thanks for the post. My initial suggestion is that if you do want to add a faux beam at the peak, I'd also include side beams to make the whole space more consistent. Keep in mind, however, that based on these photos, I think that adding the beams would visually lower the ceiling even more. I wouldn't add the beams at all, but would rather think of adding skylights. This could be a bigger expense, but something to consider to make the space brighter.

**Q: hardwood flooring** *(in Design Dilemma)*

what is the name and color of this floor?

A: It's American walnut hardwood flooring. Good luck!

**Q: Sink centered or not** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Where would you put sink... To the left so a right handed person has counter space? Or centered? This is a bedroom full bath. (no my counter will not be red).

A: Center it is, Michele! It brings good harmony to the counter space. Good luck!

**Q: Large window treatment advice** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We just moved into our new home. The great room has a very large window that needs a window treatment. The room gets a bright glare and quite warm from the sun light. The ceiling is 13'. Should I put a shade or blind in each individual window, curtains, both? Keep it simple by matching trim or bring in some color. The room is gray with tweed couch that has khaki and grey and 2 blue chairs not seen in photo.

A: Hi Rebecca! My suggestion would be to use a single shade to cover the width of all windows, the same color as the window frame, so it doesn't bring too much attention. The shade wouldn't be a decorative piece, but functionally would help with that bright glare. To add a stylish touch, I'd recommend installing curtain panels on both sides of the widow. The curtains could have a pattern incorporating a color you have on the chairs, such as the blue. Good luck!

**Q: Looking for sectional** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Where can I find this beautiful sectional?

A: Hi Katie, based on my research I think that this could be this one: http://www.ambientefurniture.com/products/living-room/sectionals/w-schillig-primanti-sectional . Good luck!

**Q: patio set up** *(in Design Dilemma)*

have a large, long patio and then two steps down to another patio and I'm having trouble deciding what type of furniture to get. I was thinking a sectional for the corner of the large patio with maybe a fire table and and maybe a small Conversation Set for the step-down patio. I'm dying to order something but I cannot make up my mind. thanks

A: Hi Melanie! Looks like you have some nice space back there. I'd suggest dividing the back into two parts: one for relaxing, in the part you show in the second picture, can be for tanning beds, maybe an umbrella, and some potted plants to give it a spa feel. Make it your space, and make sure it's only for relaxing! The second part, in the first picture, near the grill, can be more functional and used on a daily basis for cooking, hanging out with friends/family. Make sure to leave a pathway from the gate so that people aren't running into the table/chairs when coming into the grill area. Decide which function is most important for you-- a dining table or a sectional for relaxing, and then focus on this function. Good luck!
