Main Line Kitchen Design works by appointment only.
Call us at 610-500-4071 to schedule an appointment or to ask an expert designer kitchen related questions.

Main Line Kitchen Design customers meet with the most experienced designers and get the most competitive kitchen cabinet pricing…
How can Main Line Kitchen Design offer both the best kitchen designs along with the most competitive kitchen cabinet pricing?

First, our expert kitchen designers meet customers by appointment only in our offices, instead of a large showroom open to the general public. This saves time.

Second, we display the cabinet lines we sell under glass countertops so customers can see how our cabinetry is constructed. Customers can view hundreds of sample doors, sample finishes, and see 3d renderings of their future kitchen on flat screen TV’s. However, we do not waste our time or our customers’ money on showroom extras that are not essential. Nor are we available to assist people who want to stop in and browse. We pass our savings onto our customers and concentrate on what matters most. Designing great kitchens!

Main Line Kitchen Design designers are some of the most experienced and award-winning kitchen designers in the Delaware Valley. We design with and sell 8 nationally distributed cabinet lines. Cabinet pricing is slightly less than at major home centers for semi-custom cabinet lines, and significantly less than traditional showrooms for custom cabinet lines.

Call today! We can estimate your kitchen renovation from soup to nuts in a 15 minute phone call and you can find out why we get the best reviews on the internet. We look forward to working with you. As our company tag line says: “The world of kitchen design is changing…”

**★★★★★ — Mark Whitsett, April 2026**

> We are completely elated with our newly renovated kitchen. After filling out an online form Paul called the next day and explained the entire process. Of course, we chose to move forward. The initial contact with our designer Jeremy L went well and we soon saw 2 complete 3D renderings of what our kitchen could become. Jeremy proposed moving an existing door to maximize our space, and we were floored. The design, workmanship of the contractor and professionalism of the whole team was exceptional. Our new kitchen is phenomenal; it is a functional work of art. Mainline Kitchen Design are true artisans. My wife and I are eternally grateful for the care and experience of you all for helping our dreams become a reality., Thank you from, Mark and Rhonda!

> I can’t recommend Jeremy and main line kitchen design anymore. They walked us through the kitchen design process giving us the ideas we needed to make the kitchen of our dreams!!! Although we hit some snags (at no fault of theirs) they were always there standing by their business and their customers to help make it all right! Everything in the end turned out amazing and I we couldn’t have done it without them!!! Thank you main line kitchen design!

**★★★★★ — Scott Binsfeld, July 2024**

> My wife and I interviewed many companies for our projects. We couldn't be happier with our decision to use main Line Kitchen. We worked with Jeremy as our point of contact and designer. He presented us with several design options and all were very thoughtful of our goals. Delivery was seemless. The crew was quick and professional. If I'm fortunate enough to have more projects in the future, Jeremy and main Line Kitchen will be my first call.

**Comment from Main Line Kitchen Design:**

> Thanks Scott. We appreciate the vote of confidence. Hope your new kitchen makes the holidays this year special.

**★★★★★ — Jurica Hsu, April 2024**

> We had a great experience with Jeremy at Mainline Kitchen design! When we moved in 10 years ago, we knew that we needed to renovate at some point given the poor layout, deteriorating particle board countertop and drooping drawers. Concerned about the downtime, it wasn't until last year when we decided to bite the bullet and start this project. Jeremy was easy to work with, and we love the design and layout. The contractor he had recommended was responsive, knowledgeable, and kept to the timeline. We are really enjoying our new kitchen. Thanks to Mainline Kitchen, our experience was tremendously smoother than we had feared!

**★★★★★ — Dave Saitta, March 2024**

> We recently completed our kitchen remodel, designed by Jeremy of MLKD. We were given multiple design layouts, each unique and inventive. When we chose the one we liked, Jeremy fine-tuned the room to meet our specific needs. He thought of every detail to make our kitchen special. The cabinets were delivered with care. A rep of MLKD was on hand to check in our order for accuracy. Our kitchen looks absolutely amazing! Everyone at MLKD were great to work with. If you're looking to remodel your kitchen, we would highly recommend them.

> We highly recommend Main Line Kitchen Design for your kitchen design needs! We worked with Jeremy who was extremely professional and responsive. He helped to better utilize space and storage in our townhome kitchen. The new layout makes our kitchen feel so much larger and really maximizes the space. He made design adjustments to stay within our budget without sacrificing quality which was very important to us. Main Line Kitchen helped coordinate all cabinet ordering with the manufacturer and provided an excellent delivery service. We love our new kitchen and are very grateful for Jeremy’s help and expertise!

> We used Main Line Design for our kitchen remodel. Chris Rossetti did the designing and advised us through the entire process. He was a joy to work with, and listened to all of my desires and concerns during the renovation. He made many great suggestions that really helped with such a major project, with many decisions to make. I would strongly recommend Main Line Design and Chris.

> We worked with Jeremy and had a great experience. We got great service and I thought pricing was very fair for design and cabinets. Jeremy was patient in helping us through some challenging moments during the installation. Would definitely use them again!

**Comment from Main Line Kitchen Design:**

> Thanks so much for your positive feedback. Never hesitate calling us with a question or problem. We give a limited Lifetime warranty on our cabinets, countertops and hardware.

> We had a laundry room flood that did extensive damage to our flooring, and when planning the flooring replacement/upgrade, we found ourselves contemplating a kitchen remodel as well. Paul McAlary at Mainline Kitchen Design worked within our budget to give us a beautiful kitchen. Paul is a very thoughtful designer who emphasizes the importance of the layout and offered us several options in our kitchen plans. He never tried to upsell the cabinetry, in fact he reworked our plans to cut material costs so that we could remove a wall to achieve the look and flow that we were looking for. Mainline Kitchen Design offers cabinet lines for every budget and the creative designers will work to make your vision happen. Highly recommend.

> We recently completed the remodeling of our kitchen using main line kitchens and design. Unfortunately, the experience was mediocre at best. The good news was pricing was competitive. They had a relationship with our builder who was outstanding. Ordinarily Main Line requires a deposit before sharing drawings. As there was a relationship with our builder the upfront fee was waived. Turns out this was a good thing. Our design specialist spent over two hours with us on the initial visit. We emphasized we did not want a sink in our island. The initial plans disregarded our requirement. This was just the beginning of ongoing miscommunications throughout the process. He also neglected to include a wall closing then proceeded to question its existence. His design left much to be desired. After several versions we arrived at a design which was acceptable. We were assured there would be no reduction in storage space this unfortunately was not the case. If you know exactly what you want their other services were acceptable however if creative design is warranted be cautious

**Comment from Main Line Kitchen Design:**

> Hi Marc-
> Most homeowners don't realize this but the thing they don't spend enough of to get a great kitchen is time - not money. At Main Line Kitchen Design, we always show customers designs that are good uses of their space before we do the designs they request. We also make sure to prepare our customers for this approach. Possibly, as you began your process with your contractor before connecting with us, you were not as prepared as other customers for our signature design process.
>
> This dedication to devoting the extra time and providing advice does make the design process take a little longer. It also provides a better kitchen for the just about every one of our customers because they, then, factor in a professionals' advice into their design. Saying you arrived at a design that was "acceptable" doesn't make sense because our customers make the final decision on the design they select. As long as a design isn't dangerous, we make any alterations requested. We simply spend extra time with you showing any alternatives you might want to consider.

> Main Line Kitchen Design was great to work with! Our designer, Ed Sossich, was very helpful and offered many suggestions for our new kitchen space. Camilla Cameron also helped us with ordering the hardware for our cabinets. Everything was ordered and arrived quickly with no issues. Highly recommend for your kitchen renovation!

**★★★★★ — Melissa Stigliano Norton, March 2023**

> I highly recommend MLKD. We started our kitchen renovation project having a rough idea of what we wanted but not sure of what the possibilities were for our small Havertown kitchen. Our designer Lauren Sciarra came in with amazing ideas, and some creative ways to use spaces we never would have imagined could be possible. She connected us with our contractor, and was a great support throughout the process. Cabinets, hardware, lighting, counters, tile- she had great recommendations for all of these. All of the MLKD staff we worked with at each step were so helpful. The delivery staff was so nice and it was great having someone from MLKD present during delivery to make sure everything was accounted for. The office staff helped make the stressful process as smooth as it could be. The end result is our dream kitchen that we are just so thrilled with!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Krion Kitchen Countertops** *(in Remodeling)*

Have you had experience with Krion in Snow White for kitchen countertops? The manufacturer says they are impervious to everything — lemon, sunlight, heat, staining.
I want a pure white and Dekton, etc has whites but they have a light gray or ecru tint. I also cannot use quartz because my kitchen gets a lot of direct sunlight and I’ve learned that it will yellow over time.
Many thanks!

A: Hi Jules- I think you are confusing Corian with Marble. Corian doesn't absorb any stain and can be resurfaced with a light sanding if it ever scratches or gets a stain stuck on it.

Make sure you account for the fact that the pattern on Dekton is only on the surface. We have never had a customer choose Dekon for an interior kitchen once we showed them the solid color front edge or what a bevel looks like up close.

I have never seen Krion countertops and I attend the National Kitchen Show every year so I would agree with Patricia and recomend using a surface that isn't an experiment.

**Q: is this dishwasher panel right?** *(in Appliances)*

We installed the panel door made by the cabinet people. It is 1/2 inch from the bottom of the countertop. I thought maybe we installed it upside down but they said it’s right to have that giant gap at the top. They said it’s not noticeable when the countertop is installed. I think it looks really odd and the gap is noticeable when we placed a sheet on top to mimic the countertop. The instructions on the Bosch 800 panel mounting said to light it up flush with the bottom of the countertop.

A: Part of the problem is that the appliance specifications on nearly all of the panel ready dishwashers specify very short hieghts and widths on the panels. We exceed the recomended hieght and width all the time. Usually we leave 1/4" gap on the top but that's disobeying the specs from the appliance company. These people don't seem very experienced and they also take no responsibility for thinking things through beyond what is recomended which is very often wrong.

**Q: Slide in range at end of run?** *(in Appliances)*

We are replacing a 30" free standing range with front controls. It is at the end of a cabinet run and has the exposed SS side. We very much want a slide in for the front controls, but they supposedly need a cabinet on both sides. But when I look at the freestanding ranges, their sides look the same as the slide in. Below, the first photo is a "slide-in" (the one we really want) and the second is a "free standing." The sides look the same. So, thoughts whether we could get the first one below (the "slide-in") and just have the black exposed? Thanks!

ETA: I can't get the photos to upload. First one is https://frigidaire.bynder.com/transform/20f01c0a-6983-448e-848d-ae99b0975dba/PCFG3080AF-DIM-psd?io=transform:fill,width:600

**Q: Hello! I’m looking for advice on kitchen backsplash, please!** *(in Remodeling)*

We are putting in a new center island cooktop (Wolf induction unit plus two gas burners), so we are changing out the countertops. I chose Bianco Superiore quartzite and im debating whether I use it as backsplash or do a clean, subway tile. We have the large stainless hood, so Im thinking keeping it simple with subway may be a better look. Please let me know your thoughts! Thanks in advance. Cabinets: BM White Diamond, Walls: BM Revere Pewter, Island: Black (cant recall name).

A: Lots of people that do the solid backsplash have an L shaped kitchen and the seaming turning the corner looks horrible. You have only a straight run so either way works. Personally I like the simpler tile - it is less expensive and less busy.

**Q: Richelieu Sink Installation & Support System Product \#919125** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Has anyone used the Richelieu Sink Installation & Support System Product \#919125? Can it be used on a 30/70 double bowl sink? Richelieu Sink Support. Can you thread 2 slings onto the rachet straps, one for each bowl? Or is this solution just for single bowl sinks? I have a 30/70 stainless steel sink.

A: Sorry Joseph I think an engineering degree and 40 years in the industry may trump you. You are also only seeing the failed sinks and not the sucessfully installed sinks. No customer of ours has ever needed a 16 gauge sink replaced or reset when installed our way.

With blocking done correctly the sink can never move more than possiblly a hair's width over decades. There is a clear silicon caulk seal that will stretch that far and can also be reapplied.

With strapping that will certinly stretch and cause the sink to lower over time, the seal will break and when you try to ratchet the sink back up after the seal fails you may never get it as tight as you would like it because the broken caulk will prevent it.

The best of all is when the sink lip sits on top of the cabinet sides. Then the lip is sandwhiched between the countertop and the top of the cabinet. The sink lip thickness is within the tolerance of any countertop.

Less experienced countertop fabricators and cabinet and sink companies actually advise against this because they believe getting the sink out if it fails is too hard to do, However any good kitchen contractor could get the sink out just as easily. Athough it would be a giagantic pain either way requiring all the plumbing to be caped to lower the sink enough bring it out the front of the cabinet. No customer of ours has ever needed to do this though.

**Q: black soapstone** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Is there a truly black soapstone or do they all have a green undertone?

A: Black soapstone is the least expensive and is often used in chemistry labs. Generally it's not what people are looking for in a residential application. However I like the look. Because it is not in demand it might be harder to find.
