**★★★★ — Pam Herstein, Jan. 2023**

> Our main reason for using Cindy was to assist us in making selections. We were choosing flooring for main floor and carpeting upstairs. We re-did all our bathrooms with new sinks, countertops, and faucets. We needed to choose paint colors for most of the interior. Needless to say we were overwhelmed. She did accompany us to a couple of flooring places but our main concern was getting ideas and advice. She’ made suggestions and gave us advice on possible selections that we made. She did also get us larger paint sample sheets which was a great help. The colors we ended up with were perfect. She was professional, friendly and always on time. The only reason I didn’t give her 5 stars is that we thought some of her company referrals were too expensive. We would definitely recommend Cindy

> I have worked with Cindy since 2015 "re-doing" almost every room in my house. I have NEVER had such a great working relationship as I do with Cindy. She knows my style and that I need to explore options before making a decision. She has always been right on choosing colors and fabrics that would not have been my pick but I truly love the finished room! She has remodeled 3 bathrooms, and 5 other rooms in our house. Onto the last 3 rooms for us!

**★★★★★ — Terry Burke, Feb. 2022**

> Cindy is very kind, nice, patient, thorough, conscientious, dependable and a good listener with great ideas. Before Cindy I met with 3 other designers regarding window shades and they were not half as helpful as Cindy. The installed and programmed roller shades I purchased from Cindy are just perfect. I highly recommend her.

> Cindy did a great job helping me with my new bathroom! She listens to what you want and has great ideas. I would highly recommend her.

> I have recently started as a client working with Cindy Frenzer. She is so friendly along with being very professional. Her ideas to address my decorating problems are both innovative and practical. One room is close to being finished and I am very pleased with the results. I look forward to redecorating three other rooms with Cindy’s expertise. I highly recommended Cindy Frenzer.

> Cindy was a pleasure to work with. She had great ideas. She responded immediately to our questions and concerns. We would be happy to work with Cindy again and recommend her without hesitation. Our bathroom project turned out great! Thanks Cindy!

> Cindy is very professional and did an outstanding job designing our kitchen and transforming it from the outdated version it was to the beautiful finished product it is now!! It was easy to see from the onset that not only does she enjoy doing what she does, but she knew what would work best for our situation and was able to stay within our budget. She helped with everything from the cupboards and countertops to the appliances, sink and lighting. Couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend her to anyone.

**Comment from Interiors 4 U:**

> Working with clients like this couple was fun. We worked well together and with the end result in mind, found exactly what they wanted. The final pictures can be see in my photos under Bartlett kitchen.

**★★★★★ — Garen T Photography, March 2014**

> I worked with Cindy to photograph one of her projects. The kitchen was staged and ready when I arrived and she gave great feedback on the images so that we got just the right photos for her portfolio. She paid quickly and I look forward to collaborating with her again soon!

**★★★★★ — caselli21, Dec. 2012**

> Very professional home decorator specializing in window treatments. Created beautiful draperies for our living and dining room. Also created and designed draperies for my Mother's apartment. Very reasonable rates. Great quality. Would recommend for high degree of customer satisfaction and great customer service.

**★★★★★ — lindabeckwith, Nov. 2012**

> My relationship with Interiors 4 u began with choosing paint colors for my very open floor plan and reupholstering a couch and chair for my den. From there Interiors 4 u made co-ordinating valances that look amazing with the furniture. They also helped me choose blinds, not only for the den but my kitchen and family room. Interiors 4 u helped me choose fabric and made the valances for my family room as well. Everyone that spends time in my home comments on how well the colors and textures flow and how warm and cozy it is. Interiors 4 u did a great job for me. They are not only professional, prompt, and courteous but fun. The hand crafted valances are beautiful and of the highest quality.

**★★★★ — psol, Nov. 2012**

> We hired Interiors 4 U to do a complete kitchen remodel. Cindy provided several optional designs and worked with us to find one that not only fit our needs, but also our budget. She also took the time help us find the best deals while still ensuring great quality products.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What is the color of the cabinets** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: They are Wood Harbor Cabinets in maple with a butternut stain and chocolate glaze.

**Q: Classy bathroom lighting - any ideas?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello!
I'm in the midst of a complete bathroom reno, but am stuck on what lighting to choose.
We have already redone the tub surround with white subway tile, and we're replacing the vanity with a new white one with shaker doors and a beautiful new white quartz countertop (picture below)

However, I can't seem to make my mind up about any lighting. Currently, we have 2 lights wired for above the mirror. I've been going for more timeless look, so it won't go out of style in a few years.

Any advice on light styles I should pick? I really appreciate the feedback!

A: With the lights above the mirror, use LED bulbs in a natural light bulb. (The three primary types of color temperature for light bulbs are: SoftWhite (2700K – 3000K), Bright White/Cool White (3500K – 4100K), and Daylight (5000K – 6500K). The higher the Degrees Kelvin, the whiter the color temperature.) The cool white & daylight are better for putting on makeup and it is closer to natural color. 2 examples below. They should both be able to be installed facing down. They may also come in single lights also. lampsplus.com or check the Houzz website

**Q: Need Help!! Sofa Advice - Ethan Allen vs Norwalk** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are trying to finalize our furniture selection on the living room sofas (2) between the Ethan Allen 87" arcata customized sofa (upholstered) vs a Norwalk Estate customized sofa (upholstered). Norwalk is slightly more expensive but that is not a concern. We are more concerned about the sofa holding up (living room is our primary gathering place) and durability. We like both of them but we have not used Norwalk before. We have heard mixed reviews on both of them. The main difference between the two is Norwalk is manufactured entirely in the USA while EA wood parts come from their authorized factories in South East Asia and then assembled and upholstered in USA. Any thoughts/recommendations on this?
So here are the photos. First is Ethan Allen (Arcata 87") the second is Norwalk (82")
Ethan Allen
Norwalk

A: Flexsteel is another brand that is very durable and last forever. Think about the loose or semi attached back cushions. IF you use it all the time, like you mentioned, they tend to get out of shape fairly quickly. I prefer attached back to keep the shape intact.

**Q: Help with living room window treatments** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I have a long, rectangular-shaped living room. There are 2 windows on the long side and one larger one on the short side. I already hung blinds for all of them. I am wondering if it would look dumb if I hung a rod and decorative drapes just for the one large window?

A: You can add drapery panels on the large window and also add a valance to both windows. It dresses up the room and finishes off the windows. You don't have to add panels to the small window.

**Q: need help with cabinet hardware** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am updating my cabinet pulls and knobs... from brushed nickel to oiled bronze...I have to replace my drawer cup pulls with a similar pull due to the holes drilled at 21/2 in centers but I am unsure what type knob to use....suggestions?

A: The bar pulls look best. For the knobs, do something simple. The bottom left looks great with the pull on the top right.

**Q: family room wet bar backsplash** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Trying to figure out what type of backsplash for my beachside cottage family room wet bar. Cabinets are a soft creamy white. Counter top will be reclaimed wood hearty pine (may get finished in a light brown stain) Family room has lots of natural light, with white dove painted beams and ceiling. Main feature in the room is a mosaic stone fireplace of grays and some beige. Wall colors are a neutral gray. Do I do the same white subway tile as the kitchen? White bead board that matches the cabinets (bead board accents are used in the entry way and kitchen dinning area as well.) Or a more decorative tile design.

A: Of the tile choices you have pictures of, I like the glass mixture in the linear pattern (second from the bottom). Adding the color and pattern will make the backsplash a good focal point. Using the rectangular will also have less grout lines.
