> It was such a great pleasure working with Kari on this project - with simply stunning results. We started early on with Kari's 3-D digital modelling of her vision for the site, as well as reference photos for the stone components. We worked through a number of options for the dimensions and ultimate visual effect of the wall, column, and water feature stone cladding, working in concert with the lead stone mason from the installation company (Houston Landscapes), Kari (who maintained the communication with the client), and our stone supply options. As a relatively small install, the stone order needed to complete the job perfectly, with minimal overage ordered to avoid extraneous costs, while still ensuring adequate materials were on site. This required detailed planning of each type of stone piece; we built a flexible, visual reference model in MS Excel to detail the precise layout of the wall, column and water feature pieces before ordering these custom items. As you can see, the transformation of this space is exceptional. The client is thrilled. Throughout the entire process I found Kari to be extremely professional, available and responsive, detail-oriented, and all the while very personable and flexible within the boundaries of her and her client's vision. I look forward to the next time we can work on a project together, and would recommend Kari's services to any client.

Looking for house in northern NJ

A: Hello! Thank you for your question.  This is a natural stone slab, with a flamed finish.  This project is located in West Vancouver BC, which is a very wet environment.  Due to the flamed finish it is  relatively not slippery.  Good luck!

A: Hello
This plant is Tricyrtis hirta  - Toad-lily.  Great foliage and flowers for part shade / shade, especially in the late summer when not much else is blooming.  The flowers are delicate, so place it so it can be viewed up close.

I love the curved bench! Was the top somehow poured in place or? I'm also curious how these wood is attached.  Thanks.

A: Hello. Thank you!
The bench is poured in place concrete, an excellent installation done by Houston Landscapes.  The wood is attached to stainless steel flat bar first and then installed onto the concrete, so that no connections are visible.

A: This is Fon du Lac wall stone, Aberdeen stone paving and poured coloured concrete steps and coping.
