**★★★★★ — CALI Floors, Jan. 2014**

> I have had the pleasure of working with Chris & his staff for about six+ years for their floor covering needs. Each member of his staff & Chris are true professionals. When making selections for their clients we look for quality, style & the appropriate price range for the project. They are wonderful to communicate with, very detailed and I always look forward to working with Wrightworks. As you will see from their portfolio on Houzz, their quality, design integrity and talent speak for themselves.

**★★★★★ — nsheck, Dec. 2013**

> I really enjoyed having the wright works crew in my home. I missed them when they were gone. If I could remodel every room in my home I would like wright works to do it. I trust the guys, they were very good at cleaning up after themselves. They take pride in their projects. They all have their specialties as individuals but work great as a team! The owner Chris Wright has hired an awesome crew! Ashley, his interior designer is a great communicator and really helps get the right details executed! She really listens and is very smart and talented. Thank you Chris, Ashley, John, Eric, Aaron and Tristen!

**★★★★★ — ni123, Dec. 2013**

> Chris and his team at Wrightworks did an excellent job with the remodeling of pretty much the entire "very-much-in-need-of-a-makeover" unit. Remodeling included the kitchen, hardwood floors for the entire unit, and 2 bathrooms. The design, layout, color, everything is what I wanted - very modern, practical, and stylish. Because it was a condo unit, coordination with the building and neighbors were also critical, but that was all taken care of by the team. Home is a place where you want to come back to at the end of a hard day to enjoy and relax - the superb job by the team has definitely provided that.

**★★★★★ — Diana Dinges, Sept. 2013**

> Chris Wright & WrightWorks just completed a bathroom for us. Their attention to detail & level of finish is like no other. I was going to wait on the master and kitchen, but I can't wait to make the rest of my house match how beautiful this space has become. The bar is set HIGH!!!

**★★★★ — Kalleen & Company, March 2013**

> I have worked with Chris Wright on several projects in the last 4 years. One of the more recent projects involved the renovation of my client's Kitchen, Breakfast area and Dining Room as well as a new outdoor dining pavilion. I was responsible for the overall design of both projects and recommended/suggested Chris Wright as the contractor to my clients. My clients were very impressed with Chris's confidence, his knowledge of the building process, attention to detail and his extensive portfolio of completed projects.
>
> Chris is a good communicator and kept the client and me up to date on any problems, timing issues, deadlines, general construction or product concerns. Chris is very thorough and committed to creating the best finished project possible. He has a most capable and creative staff of professionals on board and several are really fine artisans. The millworkers and the flooring and tile installers in particular take enormous pride in their work and it shows. Both interior and exterior projects exceeded my and the clients expectations.

**★★★★★ — Design Studio Vriesman, March 2013**

> WrightWorks constructed a significant master bathroom remodel with consummate skill, attention to detail and amazing craftsmanship. Their ability to execute the client's desires and the vision of the interior designer resulted in an award winning project.

**★★★★★ — Great Indoors Wood Floors, March 2013**

> I am a wood flooring contractor with 19 years of experience in central Indianapolis focused on restoring very high quality, older homes. I feel fortunate to have a 10 year history of great projects with Wrightworks.
> Working for Chris Wright and Company is hard to beat. The job sites are well managed and clean, no other trades stumbling over eachother. That lets us do our best work, no excuses.
>
> Chris and his team have high standards that keep us on our toes.
> My people love working on Wrightworks jobs.

**★★★★★ — lucastallygirl, March 2013**

> Wrightworks is a mighty talented organization that works very much for their client and manages to make a really beautiful project even better with their level of customer service. As a vendor that has worked on many projects with Wrightworks, I can say with a lot of confidence that the work they perform is really done well. The quality and follow through on every detail is thought out so that the end result is a beautiful and functional space. I would hire them for personal use anytime and recommend them highly!

**★★★★★ — reklaw46, March 2013**

> Chris Wright of Wrightworks, LLC does a spectacular job listening to his clients needs and creating remodeling projects that truly wow the customer. I have been impressed by his professionalism in dealing with both clients and suppliers. I would recommend him to anyone looking to remodel their existing home or build an addition that will blend in their current home.

**★★★★★ — Donna Sink, Architect, Feb. 2013**

> I am a residential architect and have worked with many contractors over the years. Wrightworks is the best contractor I have ever done business with. The quality of both product and service they provide is impeccable, and they are deeply respectful of how personal a home remodel is. Wrightworks is especially adept at working on historic homes and providing custom solutions to specific problems of the kind that frequently pop up when one embarks on a remodel project! Chris' entire team is a pleasure to work with.

## Community Q&A

**Q: how wide is the shower?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you give the source for the shower pan?

A: This was the Kohler Ballast shower base, and I believe it is 36"x48". It also comes in a 36"x66" version with the center drain.

**Q: Teak shower insert** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where did you purchase the teak shower insert?

A: MTI has teak insert options for some of their shower bases. This one came from them.

**Q: Wavy Kitchen Ceiling and Crown Molding Help** *(in Remodeling)*

I have finished remodeling the kitchen, and am uploading the before-after pictures. While fitting the crown molding the contractor found the ceiling to be wavy and had 1 inch between it and molding at places. Scribing would not have helped the situation with that large a gap.
As it was looking very bad the contractor decided to put a dry wall stock bulkhead and with mudding tried to reduce the gap, but it still has a 3/8 inch gap at places.
The final picture of the kitchen looks incomplete to me and am really disappointed on its final look. He has not painted the stock but intends to match it with cabinet colour. Can anyone help and suggest on how to improve the situation before the final paint job. I would really appreciate a fix in the situation.

A: I'm a tad confused. It looks like you have 12" from the top of the cabinets to the ceiling.

Was the bulkhead above the upper cabinets not planned? Where was the 1" gap you mentioned, and the 3/8" gap now?

**Q: What species of wood is the butcher block? Is there a stain on it?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am looking for a butcher block counter with gray undertones and wonder what is the best way to achieve this?

A: This was a maple butcher block counter, which we applied an ebony stain to.

**Q: What is the wood used for the cabinetry?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The door frame is black walnut, and the flat panels are Myrtle Burl veneer.

**Q: Tiled over bathroom window, lets make good from and odd setup** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Well I do not know who's bright idea it was to cheap out and tile over a window, but given i am proceeding in the spring with stage two of my bathroom remodel I am a little unsure how to utilize this. There was/is a double window, half of which is mostly inline with my bathtub. The window and storm window was dry walled and then tiled over. I am getting the bath re-tiled and possible drywall work done. I either need to bring back some sort of window or glass block or properly close the old window space and reside the back area on the house. The heat has caused expansion and cracked the tile. My neighbor has and identical home in mirrored version and he just has a window in use though I am not sure how it is finished internally. Suggestions anyone?

A: If you're satisfied with the amount of light in the space, I would properly close up the window and tile over it again.
A glass block window will look strange next to the traditional window.
