> Amy provided the guidance, support, and suggestions that helped me make my selections every step of the way from fabrics, hardware and design to window placement. She and her team were responsive to any questions in a very timely manner. They are true professionals and artisans in their craft and workmanship.

**Comment from Window Works Studio, Inc.:**

> Thank you so much Deborah! You have been a delight to work with and I look forward to working with you again on future projects.

**★★★★★ — kay\_heflin7, Dec. 2020**

> Amy was great to work with. She was very professional; understood what I wanted; told me if my idea probably wouldn’t work and made alternative suggestions. We were doing a cornice board for a span of windows. When we had our selections down to 3, she used software to show us an image of what each would look like and that really clarified in our minds what we wanted. We love the finished product.

> Thanks so much! It was a pleasure working with you as well. So glad you are pleased with the process and the end result.

> I can HIGHLY recommend Amy Meinecke and her team at Window Works Studio! I recently moved into a new home, and they were able to take all the draperies from my previous home, remake them, and install them in my new home. They look marvelous! Everyone at Window Works was extremely professional, and the job was done in a very timely manner. Everything was perfectly handled from the initial consultation and measuring to the final installation. I would definitely work with them again for any drapery needs.

> This is the place to go for all of your window treatments! They make quality custom curtains and offer so many different types of blind options. They will use your specific request or in my case when I didn't know what to do in a room, they offered great suggestions. They also took a dust ruffle I had and extended it to reach down to the floor. They provided information about when to expect completion of the window treatments and kept in touch to schedule installation. Very friendly and professional!! They really want the customer to be pleased.

## Community Q&A

**Q: This house is stunning! I could move right in! ;)** *(in Photo Questions)*

Would you please provide information on the kitchen backsplash? Thank you

A: Can you share any info about the hood? Where can I find one like it?

**Q: Kitchen size** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love this kitchen! What is the size of the kitchen? It is so dreamy!

A: who is the manufacturer/color of windows?

**Q: What do you look for in a window treatment?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Window treatments beautifully top off a room, but where do you start?
How do you decide which type (Roman blinds, plantation shutters, sheers, etc.) is right for your space?
Thanks in advance!

A: I agree with Aaltonen Interiors. You have posted a a photo of a beautiful bathroom. If that is like the room you are working on, then you would also consider the humidity in a bathroom and how that affects your selection. Would you open and close the treatment daily? Can you reach it around the tub or do you need something that can be motorized?
You should find a local window treatment studio to consult with. The window treatment professional has the knowledge to ask the right questions and lead you to the perfect product for your window. They can keep your from making costly mistakes!

**Q: wisdow treatments** *(in Design Dilemma)*

what type of window treatments do you recommend for these types of windows?

A: I would prefer to recommend to the left of the door, but there isn't room for that.

**Q: WINDOW TREATMENT CHALLENGE** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Please help decide how to best treat these awkward windows?
CHALLENGES:
\* Narrower picture windows immediately to right and left of TV/fireplace are too close to those features for drapes to draw to those sides.
\* Very low budget
Thoughts:
\* Ceiling height drapes on the two large windows that would stay open.
\* Solar shades on the two narrow picture windows, with fabric covered cornice.
MAIN QUESTION:
\* If do the above, should, then, the large draped windows also have solar shades? (That means returning the two small ones from Ikea and custom ordering all somewhere).
\* Or, should drapes wrap around largest window to smaller (left of fireplace area) and be one-sided?

NOTES:
\* We removed wood blinds and still have them, but hate.
\* Want light! Very happy with open windows
\* No privacy issues
Thanks very much!!
this was taken before we painted

A: If you are going with a roller shade, they are pretty inconspicuous when they are fully raised, so it may not be so noticeable that the large window doesn't have a shade. The consistency of the panels on all the windows helps with that. Also, you can consider buying a shade for the big window, but order it as short as possible so that you still have the profile of the raised shade in the window, but you wouldn't lower it. This would be cheaper than buying the shade long enough to cover window top to bottom.
Not sure about ready-made panels as we make custom draperies. Others may have ideas for you.....maybe something like Wayfair??

**Q: Paint colors?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What are the paint colors?

A: What are the roof shingle and metal colors?
