**★★★★★ — Christine Gedye, Jan. 2017**

> I purchased two botanical prints and two botanical plaster pieces from Iskra Fine Art for my newly remodeled bathroom (she has the photos featured on her Houzz page). For years I had admired the quiet sophistication of her work, and I knew when I saw these that they would be the finishing touch of elegance to the room. The four quiet, understated images set exactly the contemplative mood I need in the room where I begin and wind down each day. (The subconscious tone of calm they set even has me keeping the bathroom tidier than I ever have—perhaps I need one of her images by my desk!) Never have I seen prints come alive with such visual textural richness, thanks to the depth of her technical knowledge and her meticulous attention to detail in process and materials. Iskra’s work honors the beauty in nature’s humblest offerings, and elevates any space it graces.

**★★★★★ — Dean Paton, Dec. 2016**

> After years of slow collecting, I now have a reasonable amount of original art in my home. The first thing you see when you enter, eye level on the aubergine wall, is a piece by Iskra that welcomes you perfectly. It sets the tone for not only the entire house, but also for its owner. Whatever that might be.

> Now that I have freed up another wall upstairs, I'm on the hunt for something else by Iskra. I find myself pulled to her art, almost as if there's a magnet hidden behind the frame.

**★★★★★ — Drizl Fine Art, Dec. 2016**

> Iskra is a very talented artist and graphic designer who can also easily manage deadlines. She's a pleasure to work with because she listens and responds well to input while still providing creative feedback on a project. I would highly recommend Iskra to anyone looking to commission artwork or graphic design. She also tells great stories!

**★★★★★ — Miriam Works, Dec. 2016**

> When I first saw Iskra's art work, I fell in love with it. I knew I had to have one. I saw her lovely dandelion piece at a special studio opening and that was it. I'm happy to say it is now on a wall in my office. Luminous, delicate but strong, hopeful, lusciously layered. The image makes me feel peaceful and moved to notice the beauty in the everyday. I cannot recommend Ms. Johnson's work highly enough. Her professionalism, workmanship and aesthetic sense are all just amazing.

**★★★★★ — David Owen Hastings, Dec. 2016**

> Iskra's lovely print of willows reflected in the surface of Greenlake in Seattle, WA really spoke to me: the textures and colors are earthy and calming. I had seen these very trees before, but when I saw them captured by Iskra's creative style, they came to life.

**★★★★★ — User, Dec. 2016**

> Iskra has an amazing portfolio of art perfect for sophisticated interiors. Her professionalism and the quality of her work is impressive.

**★★★★★ — Seattle Art Source, Dec. 2016**

> Iskra has brought an experienced eye and taste level to my choices in art. Her talent in visual art is undeniable and her ability to walk me through the art purchasing process was refreshing and approachable.

## Community Q&A

**Q: When you are looking for an Interior Designer, what kind of attributes are you looking for?** *(in Polls)*

I am an Interior Designer and I am looking to the Houzz community for things people look for when they are thinking of hiring an Interior Designer so I can review my marketing pieces.

A: I want to see excellent photographs, before and afters, and some very good references. I also want to know when I talk with a designer that there is smart thinking behind their suggestions and not just formulas. I will never forget the time I was told to paint a wall apple green because I had something red in the room and "red and green are opposite each other on the color wheel." Ouch, that apple green took days to paint over. What I really needed was a combination of celery and pale straw.
