He hit it it spot on the first try. They key for us was that the entry would replace the home's original entrance which has been retained and while in a good spot, did not suit our lifestyle. It was also very important that the home's original architecture (Antique 1840's Cape) was retained in the new addition while protecting a very important specimen tree. From our custom-built bulletin/chalk board in the kitchen, to the master bathroom vanity, to the way our kitchen island cut in for another chair, to the way the counter by the microwave curves, to the lattice work that is two-stories tall in our foyer--those visits were essential in order to achieve this masterpiece that we are fortunate enough to call our home. Our entire house building experience from start to finish was so exciting and so much fun. It was a true collaboration between us, Laine, and our builder Bill Constantine. It was an absolute joy and a privilege. His attention to detail is superb: floor plan, windows, doors, details in moulding and direction on lighting and fixtures. He was unfailingly calm and reassuring with us and with our builder and was always available to guide us through difficult decisions. We discovered fire damage to our roof during the project and Laine worked quickly with our builder to find a solution and kept the project on schedule.
