Today they just finished installing new garage doors. On both occasions I have dealt initially with one of the owners, Daniel Albo. My garage doors were installed today by Marcin and Hayden. Unfortunately, I always manage to find something wrong with most jobs. Not with this company. Tim L was terrific from my initial meeting, providing drawings, and scheduling the work was really quick. Installers came one day for the floors and another day for the wall panels & cabinets. Let me start by saying that products that were installed, especially the flooring, are of excellent quality and we are very happy. Overall the garage looks great. However, there was a very noticeable design flaw in my garage. See pictures. The area in question is 17 feet by 1.5 feet of diamond plating. This area was left unfinished in the design and it looks awful in person. I let my salesperson know that I was not happy that after paying almost 30, the design looked noticeably unfinished and I also let him know that everyone who saw the finished product commented on the unfinished area in question. Its a very small area but a very noticeable area. The salesperson advised that he would speak with the owner and find out if the company would come back and install a sheet of backsplash to ensure the project looked finished and that I was 100% satisfied. After about a week I followed up with Drew. He advised that his boss was in Muskoka. I went in to see Drew in person a couple of weeks later. He advised that his boss was busy and ensured me that he would follow up. Its been months and months and I have not heard back from Drew in any way shape or form. After spending 27,000 on a garage, I have a garage that looks unfinished and I feel taken advantage of, unimportant, and I would not re-buy from this company again based on the fact that I paid them 27,000 and once they had my money they could not care less about us. There were 3 different aspects that I needed to be done and you sent 3 different crews that specialized in each job. Day one they didn't know how to get into the garage, screwed up the high lift kit, couldn't figure out how to shorten the new openers. Day 2 locked themselves out AGAIN, tried to fix the doors and did the floor. Installed the wrong stairs so had to come back and rip them out. Still insisting the openers couldn't be shortened I sent Alex an email from the manufacturer explaining how. Now his story changed from they can't to oh we won't because it voids the warranty. I told him no issue just do it. He refused. Day 3 replaced stairs and had to redo flooring. They installed the slat wall too high so all the chunks out of the foundation are exposed (you'll never see that on there website). Builder had used a 6" wide shim at foundation. When they redid the stairs they wiped some epoxy on the butt end of the shim to try and cover it up. Emailed Alex that night as slat wall was complete...except the garage door wall wasn't touched! I asked if a complete garage makeover only included 3 walls!?!? His answer...my slat wall guy said it's too hard, different elevations, narrow spots. I asked what about all the electrical outlets and switches that we're all mixed matched and missing cover plates...apparently for $25k you have to buy and install those yourself. Alex never showed up once through this entire mess, when they called for release of the final payment I said absolutely NOT until you fix the mistakes, two months later I find out when I get my credit card statement they took the money. I've called twice and asked for one of the managing directors to come see how they left the job...neither will return my call! > \#garagelivingdisaster **Comment from Garage Living:** > Mr. Davis, I have spoken with both Alex, our installation team our our service manager. How much weight would you say is on that shelf? A: The shelving in this picture was removed and replaced by steel overhead storage racks. This picture was taken as a "before" shot prior to the start of our work. I would not recommend installing shelving from the ceiling as seen in this particular picture. The steel racks that we installed have 2 lag bolts installed on each of the four support arms that extend from the ceiling to the platform. These lag bolt must be put into wood ceiling joist. Any other material will not support the weight of the platform.
