Josh wanted to get back to controlling all facets of the design, estimating, construction and warranty of his projects. He believes that his clients will be best served by having the owner of the company help design the project and run the construction project so that the details of the design can shine through in the home. Without the proper architecture plans, creative design, quality execution and personal service, a home will not be able to reach its potential and properly reflect the unique owners that live it in. Josh Zielke believes that the difference between building a spectacular home and a forgettable one is only a matter of effort. As long as you are going to go through the process of building or remodeling, you might as well have someone who cares about the finished design as much as you do. His true passion in life is helping to create homes that speak to both the owners and those that visit the home. He is passionate about building homes with character and finding the right balance between form and function. He is driven by the creative process and finds the most reward in seeing the space come to life. ### Services Provided - New Home Construction - Home Remodeling - Home Additions - Guesthouse Design & Construction - Project Management - Green Building - Pool House Design & Construction - Home Restoration - Custom Homes ### Areas Served - Dallas - Oak Lawn - North Dallas - University Park - Highland Park ### Typical Job Cost $350,000 - 5 million Custom Home Builder and Luxury Home Remodeling - Dallas, TX ## Business Details | Field | Value | | --- | --- | | Business Name | Josh Zielke Homes | | Address | 5635 SMU Boulevard, \#104, Dallas, Texas 75206, United States | | Phone | (214) 929-9361 | | Website | http://www.joshzielkehomes.com | | Followers on Houzz | 28 | **Social profiles:** - Facebook — Josh Zielke Homes - Blog — www.joshzielkehomes.com ## Contact - **Houzz profile:** [Josh Zielke Homes](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/home-builders/josh-zielke-homes-pfvwus-pf~1862697680) - **Website:** http://www.joshzielkehomes.com - **Phone:** (214) 929-9361 ## Credentials - **Best of Houzz:** 1 award (2020), for Service. ## Reviews **Overall rating: 5.0 out of 5 — 8 reviews** ### All 8 reviews **★★★★★ — Karla Noone, Sept. 2019** > We recently wrapped up a home renovation project with Josh Zielke Homes that included our kitchen, wet bar, 3 bathrooms, and an interior paint job of the entire house. > > We were very happy with the work that Josh did for us, but even more impressive was how he did it. One of Josh’s biggest strengths is how considerate he is of his clients while they are still living in the home during a remodel. We encountered very few typical “growing pains “of home renovations because Josh went above and beyond to find creative ways to make us feel as comfortable as possible during the whole process. Furthermore, he communicated what would happen during each phase of the process clearly. Questions were always met with very prompt answers. > > His attention to detail is really impressive. For example, by recommending that we paint certain trim areas of the house that we hadn’t planned on initially painting, he dramatically improved the interior appearance of our house. It was a simple cost-effective solution that gave the whole house a major facelift. He’s really good at pinpointing areas where money can be saved along the way. He’s also honest when more money needs to be spent to achieve desired results; while also being respectful of resources and budgets. As with any remodel job, we experienced a challenge or two, but Josh was always on top of them and tackled them promptly and effectively. > > All in all, we were very happy with Josh Zielke Homes. We were impressed with Josh’s extensive knowledge, outside the box creativity, rapidness in response time, and the quality of work his teams deliver. We’ll be using him again for any future home projects. **★★★★★ — Kevin Johnson, April 2019** > I've done 4 previous large renovation projects and Josh is by the far the best! When this project began we discussed the vision, budget, and expected completion date. He highlighted the areas of construction that would be "unknown" until after demo and what those may be. He offered suggestions along the way and immediately pointed out any areas where we may need to spend extra or save along the way. I was kept up to date with the progress, but never overwhelmed or that I was having to "make all the decisions" > > > We had an original budget of over $208,000 and a 4 month timeframe. We came within $900 dollars of our projection and just finished the project in just under 4 1/2 months. This is not to say we didn't have challenges, but Josh kept us on track and moving forward. > > > Probably the best service and satisfaction I've experienced in any industry! **★★★★★ — heatherdcarson, April 2019** > Josh was a great contractor to work with on our investment property remodel. He was detailed and spot on with the budgeted costs. Josh is professional and knowledgeable in his field. I hope to have another opportunity to work with Josh in the future. **★★★★★ — Sarah Calver, April 2019** > Can't say enough about how wonderful Josh and his team were during our home remodel! We purchased a home that needed a lot of layout remodeling and updating. His creativity resulted in our home turning out even better than I had imagined. All of the additional details that he added truly turned our home into a masterpiece. We even came in under budget which is extremely rare. Highly recommend to anyone building a new home or wanting a remodel done. **★★★★★ — HU-981003463, April 2019** > I have had the pleasure and honor of working with and selling several homes built by Josh Zielke Homes over the last several years. Each one of his homes is GORGEOUS, beautifully designed, stylish, extremely well appointed, perfectly balanced and, beyond that, come with an extensive builder warranty. His workmanship, sense of style, ability to etstimate cost/expenses and bring the home in at the projected budget, communication style, management skills and extreme pride in his product make Josh Zielke Homes an excellent choice for a custom built home. If you get the chance to work with Josh count yourself lucky. You will love your unique home and truely appreciate working with such a professional and well run company. **★★★★★ — Erika Orbin, April 2019** > My husband and I couldn't be happier that we chose Josh to work with on our extensive remodel. We are both very detail oriented and picky (both being in the real estate industry - residential and commercial), and Josh went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. He is extremely organized and stayed on schedule and on budget. We love how Josh is hands on and is actually on the job site overseeing his team. His communication and professionalism are bar none - and the level of quality speaks for itself (which is sometimes very hard to find this combination in most people). We will continue to refer him to friends and clients alike without question! Nathan, my husband, and I are thrilled with how the final results of the remodel and are so happy that we worked with Josh and his team! **★★★★★ — Roberta Charles, Sept. 2018** > We chose Josh Zielke Homes for our full house remodel and we couldn’t be happier. The house was taken down to the studs, inside and out. Staying on budget and schedule was of utmost importance to us. Josh delivered on both counts. Thanks to Josh Zielke’s creativity and attention to detail we have the home of our dreams! > > The workmanship is great, the design is classic and we’ve even had neighbors and drive-bys stop and admire it. Our home turned out beautifully. Thank you Josh! **★★★★★ — Lynne Bartusek, Sept. 2018** > Our experience with Josh Zielke Homes was seamless from beginning to end. Josh was able to blend the perfect amounts of creativity, quality focus and project management to our complete renovation. Our home is an older one with some unique elements but our style is more contemporary and Josh was able to create the perfect end product that did not sacrifice either aspect. ## Selected projects - [3420](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/3420-pj-vj~4168234) - Location: University Park, TX - Photos: 36 - [Marquette](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/marquette-pj-vj~4198606) - Location: University Park, TX - Photos: 10 - [Purdue](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/purdue-pj-vj~4198637) - Location: University Park, TX - Photos: 9 - [Hanover](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/hanover-pj-vj~4198558) - Location: University Park, TX - Photos: 18 - [Preston Hollows](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/preston-hollows-pj-vj~4198484) - Location: Dallas, TX - Photos: 15 - [Mockingbird](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/mockingbird-pj-vj~4198517) - Location: Highland Park, TX - Photos: 8 - [Stanford](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/stanford-pj-vj~4198580) - Location: University Park, TX - Photos: 4 - [Livingston](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/livingston-pj-vj~4158222) - Location: Highland Park, TX - Photos: 41 - [Hyer](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/hyer-pj-vj~4198620) - Location: University Park, TX - Photos: 4 [See all 9 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/home-builders/josh-zielke-homes-pfvwus-pf~1862697680) ## Ideabooks - [Wish List](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/134965436/list/wish-list) — 1 idea [See all 1 ideabook](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/users/erinnzielke) --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
