TVL stands for ‘This Visionary Life’, which is embodied by the company in every sense. It’s what we bring to the table and what we strive for in every single project: vision, unmatched creativity, and an unbridled sense of passion for our work. TVL Creative is a multi-disciplined design firm located in Denver, Colorado that offers impactful interior design and remodeling services for residential and commercial spaces. We are young, contemporary, and exceptionally driven. TVL Creative is fueled by a highly advanced connection to the digital world and the most innovative approaches to design out there. We love what we do. We believe that good design completely changes lives. We aim to change the world of design by creating fascinating results that are available to everyone and accessible by many.

TVL Creative was founded by Crystal Russell, a Denver native with a lengthy design background and boundless passion for everything creative. Crystal brings her varied skills to the table to manage TVL Creative as a multi-disciplined company; tapping into her experience with interior design, graphic design, media design, and fine art to create design solutions that are provocative and unique. After being disenchanted with the overly formal and relatively unwelcoming air of other design providers, Crystal established TVL Creative as a company rooted in openness, genuine friendliness, and raw design enthusiasm.

We can’t wait to meet you!

> TVL is an absolute master in the design and build industry. Words cannot capture the TVL experience, but here are a few that come to mind: Professional, fun, energetic, innovative, creative, accessible, communicative, reliable and the hardest working people we’ve ever known. TVL and Team Boots took our 1962 ranch and transformed it into a home we will never leave. We needed safe, functional, comfortable, durable, budget friendly and pretty for our family of four and they delivered in every way. The TVL experience elevates the design and build process. Team Boots are master craftsmen, Faris is a brilliant designer, and we are honored to have been part of the TVL experience. TVL is the best, without question.

> Delilah at TVL was amazing, both with the design of my new master bath and project coordination from start to finish (and then some)! When I decided to do the project, it was overwhelming trying to decide what I wanted, where to find it, and who to hire to build it. I contacted TVL and started working on Delilah, who came up with amazing ideas for the design that were just what I wanted (and that I never would have come up with myself), helped me visualize the end result with renderings, and coordinated the build-out, including ordering all the finishes, handling delivery, and helping me select a great contractor. She made the project stress-free and enjoyable, and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is right. I'm thrilled with the results and hope to work with Delilah and TVL again on the future!

> Crystal and her TVL crew completed a full house renovation on our 1960’s ranch home. Every single surface was touched – walls, windows, interior and exterior doors, floors, and moldings. In addition, we renovated three bathrooms, the kitchen and laundry room and added a mudroom. Everything in the house was original to 1966, and badly in need of updating.
>
> The project would have been overwhelming for me to complete on my own – but in stepped Crystal to make it all a breeze. Crystal came up with amazing designs, selected colors and styles to make the whole house cohesive, oversaw construction and renovation, and even furnished the entire home down to the throw pillows. She suggested things that I would not have considered on my own - and I love them all!!
>
> I cannot overstate how pleased you will be to work with anyone at TVL, or any of their recommended contractors. Crystal recommended Angel, who was extremely knowledgeable, dedicated and easy to work with. We completed ALL OF THIS in about six months, and at every step Crystal and Angel made us feel that this was their most important project (although I know they had multiple projects in progress).
>
> I also believe that we received good value for our dollar, and that the cost of the project was reasonable and fair. I really believe that any money you spend for design assistance will more than be earned back because you will save tons of time and aggravation, and be spared your bad choices and mistakes. A good designer, like Crystal, helps you avoid costly mistakes and projects that don't turn out quite like you envisioned.
>
> You will not be disappointed if you work with TVL. Crystal is incredibly energetic, creative, and detail-oriented. She will do what it takes to make your project a success, and your project will come out 100 times better than if you did not use TVL.

> Superb!! I worked with TVL Creative for a major renovation of our kitchen, master bathroom, and main floor bathroom. This was my first time doing a renovation and I couldn't have asked for better people to work with on these projects. They took away any nervousness I had about the renovation. Crystal was very detailed and creative and on top of every idea, decision, delivery, install, etc. She was in constant communication with me and I never felt as though I didn't know what was going on. She also made sure we stayed within my budget. My contractor, Ian, was also just as impeccable. My projects started the day they said they would and ended on the day they said they would. He was extremely thorough and did everything the right way. He did not take short cuts on anything. I did not have any of the horror stories or surprises that you hear about from other renovations. They are truly genuine, honest, trustworthy, and extremely hard working people. I have recommended them to many people and will continue to do so. In fact, I will be hiring them again for more home projects to come. Hire them now! You will not be disappointed.

**Comment from TVL Creative Ltd.:**

> Crystal, thank you!! You were such a delight to work with. We are so fortunate to have such amazing clients, and it was such an honor to have such a hand in your home. Thanks for your business and continued support. We appreciate you!

**★★★★★ — Erin M, June 2018**

> We had the privilege to work with Crystal at TLV Creative for the remodel of our main floor which included the kitchen, family room, and living room and also our upper level master bathroom. Prior to this experience, I had never worked with a designer. Crystal was an absolute pleasure to work with. Besides being very kind and supportive, she also clearly knows her stuff. Our home transformed from dark and dated to cozy and fresh. Crystal not only listened to our wishes and desires but she also was bold with her suggestions and recommendations that she knew would improve the project. She was cognizant of our budget and worked well with our contractor. Crystal has beautiful artistic talent and is overall a fun, warm, and supportive person to work with during the quite stressful endeavor of a major remodel. I highly recommend Crystal and her team. We could not be happier with how our home turned out!

**★★★★★ — Sawhorse, Inc., April 2018**

> TVL Creative has been an amazing partnership to establish. Their photo-real rendering gives clients the outlook, and peace of mind needed to confidently proceed with their remodeling project. TVL Creative’s documentation and organizational skills assist both the construction team, and the homeowner with following the progress of the project as the work is completed. TVL Creative is a design firm made of highly talented individuals that care about their clients from the start of a project until the finishing touches are completed.

**★★★★★ — Robert Harney, April 2018**

> I couldn’t have completed my kitchen remodel without TVL. Their expertise and ability to really listen to me is what made me decide to continue the project. I am pleased with remodel and this would not have happened without them.
>
> Job well done.

**★★★★★ — dan oxender, March 2018**

> My wife and I have worked with TVL for years. We selected them after having several design teams submit proposals. Their work was very professional, comprehensive and beautiful.
>
> We have a four phase project worth over 250K ongoing with TVL. I know that 250K sounds like a lot, but, the two overall bids came in at over 400K,
>
> Because TVL was creative and flexible, we have been able to divide the work up between teams and do some of the work ourselves to keep costs down.
>
> TVL was very helpful in that process and we were able to realize our dreams with a cost that we could afford. Phase 1 is done and Phase 4 almost done. Phase 1 was converting three bedrooms and two baths into a master suite, office and two new baths. The results were nothing less than spectacular. I highly recommend TVL.
>
> Phase 2 (just starting) will convert the family room, outdoors covered deck, kitchen and stairwell into an integrated living space with modern kitchen island, gas cooktop and hood. (Kinda hard to describe, but, it's going from a 70's design to a "house of your dreams" thing.) TVL made that happen.

> My husband and I were very pleased with the professionalism displayed by Crystal Russell. She was attentive to our requests, our budget, and allowed us to ask multiple questions. She always provided good information and advice. We love our new bathroom design. I waited to post this recommendation for several months to see if we were still in love with the bathroom and the answer is MOST DEFINITELY yes. Crystal has excellent customer service skills and she was very tactful when intervening between contractor and us. By her efforts we are committed to using a designer for future home remodeling endeavors as she opened our eyes to the possibilities that lay before us.

**★★★★★ — Global Construction LLC, Oct. 2017**

> Each member of TVL Creative has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Besides having incredibly great sense of style, they create the most amazing renderings that I've ever seen and understand the construction process.

**★★★★★ — Erin, Sept. 2017**

> TVL Creative (specifically Ashley and our contractor, Ian) were amazing! They took what was a disaster of a space (our kitchen) which we avoided at all costs, and turned it into the center of home and our most social space. Ashley had terrific ideas which kept the integrity of our historic home, but brought it into the 21st century. She met and exceeded all of our expectations and Ian's work completely realized her vision. Not only that, but every deadline was met, budgets were kept, and we literally could not be happier with the results! Thank you TVL!

**★★★★★ — Wendy Wheaton, Sept. 2017**

> Any remodeling project poses a potentially major strain on time, money, and peace of mind, no matter the size. TVL Creative provided my husband and me a level of service and support that made our project not only survivable, but successful far beyond our expectations, through creativity, communication, problem-solving, follow-through, and commitment to the highest possible standards.
>
> To start, Ashley C. met with us to explore what we envisioned for our project. She listened carefully, offered feedback (including gentle re-direction when our ideas weren’t practical or appropriate) and then provided us with renderings that perfectly captured what we wanted.
> Once we made a commitment to TVL, Ashley provided us with several options for contractors and subcontractors. The people with whom we met were knowledgeable and experienced, and their pricing was competitive and reasonable. We were able to begin our project in a timely manner.
>
> The final plan for our project included popcorn ceiling removal on two floors (including vaulted living room ceiling,) lowering of a 6” raised living room floor, installation of recessed lighting in two rooms, new kitchen island with pendant lighting, new half bath, new paint for walls and doors on the first and second floors, hardwood floor installation on the first floor, new carpet on the second floor, 88’ of custom steel railings for the loft and staircase, new wood stairway risers, a new fireplace mantel and insert. Estimated timeline was two months.
>
> After the work began, Ashley directly supervised our progress via site visits every other day. As glitches arose, she was quick to respond. She set up a meeting with one subcontractor, helped us articulate our concerns, and added in her observations. In another instance, we texted her after 5 pm on a Monday when we noticed a light fixture wasn’t level. She texted the contractor, who contacted the electrician, who arrived at our door on Tuesday by 4 pm to fix it.
>
> Ashley and I worked together to select all finishes, including paint, stain, carpet, tile and hardwood flooring. In addition, she helped me shop for furnishings including rugs, light fixtures, faucets, door hardware, and recycled barn wood. She handled all ordering and materials, and followed up if items were delayed.
>
> Everything but the steel railings was finished in less than two months, and those were only delayed for a couple of weeks. Now that it’s done, my husband and I can’t believe the incredible change in our house. We feel like we’re living in a design magazine photo spread! We couldn’t be happier with the results and the process.

They already loved living in the building, so when this condo became available it was the perfect opportunity to move into a space with even better views and a ton of potential! - Description: Our Clients There is nothing we love more than the opportunity to work with two of our favorite clients again! Three years ago, we helped these long-time homeowners remodel the main level and loft area in their beloved 1970s family home, transforming it into a space they could see themselves growing old in. We tackled the dated staircase, patchwork flooring, lighting, wall finishes, and fireplace. So, when they reached out again ready to remodel their kitchen and bathrooms- plus give their famil…

  - Location: Denver, CO

  - Description: This project was not only full of many bathrooms but also many different aesthetics. The goals were fourfold, create a new master suite, update the basement bath, add a new powder bath and my favorite, make them all completely different aesthetics. Primary Bath-This was originally a small 60SF full bath sandwiched in between closets and walls of built-in cabinetry that blossomed into a 130SF, five-piece primary suite. This room was to be focused on a transitional aesthetic that would be adorned…

  - Description: This 1910 West Highlands home was so compartmentalized that you couldn't help to notice you were constantly entering a new room every 8-10 feet. There was also a 500 SF addition put on the back of the home to accommodate a living room, 3/4 bath, laundry room and back foyer - 350 SF of that was for the living room. Needless to say, the house needed to be gutted and replanned. Kitchen+Dining+Laundry-Like most of these early 1900's homes, the kitchen was not the heartbeat of the home like they are…

  - Description: \[Our Clients\] We were so excited to help these new homeowners re-envision their split-level diamond in the rough. There was so much potential in those walls, and we couldn’t wait to delve in and start transforming spaces. Our primary goal was to re-imagine the main level of the home and create an open flow between the space. So, we started by converting the existing single car garage into their living room (complete with a new fireplace) and opening up the kitchen to the rest of the level. \[Kitc…

  - Description: Our client’s charming cottage was no longer meeting the needs of their family. We needed to give them more space but not lose the quaint characteristics that make this little historic home so unique. So we didn’t go up, and we didn’t go wide, instead we took this master suite addition straight out into the backyard and maintained 100% of the original historic façade. Master Suite This master suite is truly a private retreat. We were able to create a variety of zones in this suite to allow room f…

  - Description: Our clients, a young and growing family of four, reached out to us when they purchased a dated 1982 built sprawling ranch in the south Denver burbs. Their idea was to renovate the house to be the home where they raised their children. In looking beyond the necessary cosmetic updates, the clients found a home with stunning architectural features, including cathedral ceilings in the living room, cedar-clad vaulted ceilings, and clearstory windows. It also had some real pain points like the awkward…

  - Description: Our clients were looking to make this home their forever home and to create a warm and welcoming space that the whole family would enjoy returning to every day. One of our primary goals in this project was to change how our clients moved through their home. We tossed aside the existing walls that blocked off the kitchen and introduced a butler’s pantry to connect the kitchen directly to the dining room. Contrast is king in this home, and we utilized a variety of light and dark finishes to create…

  - Description: Our clients were looking to erase the 90s from their master bathroom and create a space that blended their contemporary tastes with natural elements. This bathroom had wonderful bones with a high ceiling and plenty of space, but we were able to work with our clients to create a design that better met their needs and utilized the space to its full potential. We wanted to create a sense of warmth in this large master bathroom and adding a fireplace to the space did the trick. By moving the tub loc…

We were more then happy to tear down the walls that hid their kitchen to create some simply irresistible sightlines! Along with opening up the spaces in this home, we wanted to design a kitchen that was filled with clean lines and moments of blissful details. - Description: Our clients came to us with the challenge of updating the small kitchen in their 1940s brick bungalow. The galley kitchen had last been updated sometime in the 90s before they purchased the home. The existing space lacked storage, was short on counter space, and the finishes made the room feel dark and cramped. It was important to the clients to inject a retro aesthetic that would vibe with the home yet feel modern and current. Our first item to tackle was the layout. We felt the current configu…

  - Description: With a baby on the way and old cabinets falling apart at the seams, a kitchen remodel was the number one priority for our clients in their charming, historic Denver home. It was essential to make the kitchen feel more spacious and open, while still maintaining it’s original footprint and privacy from the rest of the house. Cabinets on three out of four walls caved into the center of the kitchen, making it feel small and difficult for even two people to be moving about! By eliminating cabinetry o…

They wanted to remodel the entire first floor to create a more open floor plan and develop a smoother flow through the house that better fit the needs of their family. This kitchen is saturated in mid-century charm and its custom features make it difficult to pin-point our favorite aspect! - Description: This 1950s home was sporting elements of the original kitchen and the dark space was not meeting our client’s needs. The original kitchen didn’t have much to offer in the way of functionality, so our first order of business was to create a design that would exponentially increase the usability of the kitchen. We brought in functional cabinetry, introduced uninterrupted work surfaces, and added plenty of lighting to brighten up their kitchen. They also wanted to open the new kitchen to the living…

  - Description: Our clients’ recently purchase home is set in a picturesque location in Golden, Colorado. With idyllic square footage for raising a family, it was almost just what they wanted. However, the 90’s interior furnishings and dated layout didn’t feel like home. So, they reached out to TVL Creative to help them get the place move-in ready and feeling more 'them.' The scope of work included an overhaul of the master bathroom, full-home paint scheme, lighting updates, and new staircase railings. The most…

  - Description: This 1960s ranch had seen its share of projects over the years, but this time around the homeowners wanted to breathe new life into the main level to better accommodate the needs of their family. Their most significant pain point was the narrow galley kitchen right off the small entry. Not only was it disconnected from the living and dining, but the wall separating the spaces created a complicated circulation pattern that made it tricky to furnish the spaces. - Description: This newly purchased home was the perfect size for our client's growing family. The house, having been expanded on and renovated by the previous owners was the right size but not quite the right style. The house was full of design elements that may have been "cool" in the early 2000s but just didn't feel right for a young family. The master bathroom was in the most serious need of redo with many, many square feet of dingy and somewhat depressing deep red granite tile with diamond accents in blac…

  - Description: These wonderful clients returned to us for their newest home remodel adventure. Their newly purchased custom built 1970s modern ranch sits in one of the loveliest neighborhoods south of the city but the current conditions of the home were out-dated and not so lovely. Upon entering the front door through the court you were greeted abruptly by a very boring staircase and an excessive number of doors. ## Community Q&A

**Q: Question on the Cabinets** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am wondering if these are IKEA cabinets?

A: Hello :) These are not Ikea cabinets, they were custom made here in Denver by Avalon TruFrame Cabinetry

**Q: Are the cabinets ands walls the same color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Kitchen cabinets and nearby walls. Thank you!
Christine

A: The walls are Silver Drop by Behr and the cabinets are Waypoint Living Space's painted linen.

**Q: what are the paint colors used? the green and tan?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Beautiful

A: Both colors were painted by the previous owner, and we opted to incorporate them into our design. Unfortunately, we don't know the color info.

**Q: What is the brand and name of the backsplash tile?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Wall tile, brand, manufacture

A: We don't know the brand/manufacturer, but it is a part of the cement tile collection at The Tile Shop.

**Q: Tile backsplash** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you tell me what the tile is and where it's from?

A: Hi Ann, this backsplash tile came from Daltile in 2017 and unfortunately they no longer carry it. But in general it's a 2x8 handmade ceramic tile with a crackle glaze, I hope that helps!!

**Q: Dimensions of room** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi there,
Would you please tell me the dimensions of the room? I would love this furniture layout for one of our rooms. It looks about the same size. Thank you
Just the section in this shot, I see it's part of a bigger room.

A: Hi Maria! The living room pictured measures in at 11'8" x 12'8".
