It was a smaller structure than his typical projects, but he was kind enough to take us on as clients. We wanted the carriage house to be period appropriate (we live in a 1890s Queen Anne Victorian). Other than general style and rough size/dimensions, we really didn't give him much direction - we wanted him to do all the "heavy lifting". He knocked it out of the park. We were beyond thrilled when we received the final design and are very excited to see the carriage house come to life. Before working with Robert, we were concerned that whoever we got to design our carriage house was going to design a cookie-cutter styled structure...that was the complete opposite of what we experienced. Even though we "boxed" Robert in to the Queen Anne style, he still designed it in a way that makes the carriage house feel like it has our mark on it yet still maintains its Victorian integrity. Aside from being a top-shelf architect, Robert is an excellent communicator. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and in a timely fashion.
