His expertise, construction saavy, and quality are truly beyond compare. We are a large family and this beautiful home ( the third we have owned) has stood the test of time. We have had literally NO problems whatsoever with our home in all these years. > Recently we had a question about our foundation and drains due to an overflow of ground water due to the inordinate amount of winter snow. After 15 years of being in our great house, Meo stopped over within 24 hours of us contacting him for a free consultation. When we tell folks that our contractor stands by his excellent, well built homes, it is no exaggeration! ( yes, you read that correctly... Meo came to help, no questions asked, no charge FIFTEEN YEARS after purchasing our home from him!) > We remember Meo being wonderful to deal with in the building and construction phase of our home. He was always available to answer our questions and very accommodating in all ways. We found him to be very direct and honest in the cost and he uses top quality materials. > Without hesitation, we would have him build us another home in the future- however... that may not ever come to pass because we are so happy with our current home! The exterior got a facelift and landscape altered to offer better drainage. I am a person who is often indecisive and tend to change my mind frequently. Mr. V. not only came up with many variations of designs to humor me, but was also incredibly patient and honest in his input. This allowed us to come up with a design that both customer and designer were happy and satisfied with. Mr. V's attention to details is outstanding and the work has been of a quality even higher than expected. It is nice to see this level of dedication to quality and pride in workmanship in amid the modern day 'quantity over quality' mentality. I have worked with other contractors in the past, and have been unhappy with the results. Happily I can report, that for the first time ever, I am 100% satisfied with the job. He listened carefully to our design needs and then translated our ideas into reality. As a result, our house is infused with custom features---from the curved arch in the dining room and fireplace to the custom pantry shelving and cabinetry in our mudroom, laundry room, and the custom bookshelves and window seats in our home office, master bedroom and other rooms. Building a new house was overwhelming to me at first, but with Meo's support and clear ideas based on his knowledge of architecture and construction, the process was a smooth one (even though I worked with him remotely most of the time!). Our current project with Whitehall, which is now halfway complete, is building a new barn with loft above and room for 2 vintage cars below using both salvaged and new materials. The aim is a classic "New England" look by using both vintage and modern materials.
