> Chateau Construction worked with us from the design phase through final with courtesy, great communication, and ease. Our project was an addition/remodel on a 1926 home where we were intent on preserving the original style and feel. They patiently guided us through each design element and achieved the perfect outcome. They met the challenges of working in an older home with expert ideas and superb craftsmanship. We were able to live in the house throughout the process and were even encouraged to take two trips. They kept us apprised every step of the way via email/text/photos. The crew left the site clean after every day and were very respectful of our neighbors. We can highly recommend them!

> We used Chateau Construction to remodel our Master Bath in our 104 year old farmhouse. It was the best experience we've had in our many remodeling efforts. The project began and ended on time. The preparations to seal off the dust and debris from the rest of the house worked exceptionally well. Questions that arose with different design elements were quickly identified, and several options were given for solutions. Our wishes were accommodated even when it meant changes in scheduling. Chateau Construction and all the sub-contractors were easy to work with, and everyone took pride in their work. it was almost effortless on our part, and we get to enjoy our new bathroom everyday.

> We had a brand new home built by Chateau Construction Company. We now have the most beautiful home for our family. The Chateau Company, led by Dan Bainbridge, had only the highest standards for every single step of our construction. The coordination, the timing, the cooperation all came together to produce a home of highest quality, that we are enjoying every single day. Projects such as this only can succeed with great team effort and true sincerity, which is the core of Chateau. We could not have had a better experience with any other construction company.

> Chateau built the 900 square foot addition to our house. Everyone handled their job extremely professionally. Dan worked with us closely with the scope of the project and allowed us to do much of the finish work and work directly with the electrical, plumbing and tile sub-contractors. A great experience.

> We've had two whole house remodels done by Chateau Construction and LOVED both experiences. The first was in 2006-2007 and turned out so well we didn't hesitate to have them do a second house remodel in 2011-12. The owner, Dan Bainbridge, his site supervisors, in-house crew and sub-contractors are all great guys who put in all the hard work for a top-notch result. They've worked together over so many years so they communicate and plan ahead for each other jobs.
>
> My neighbor grew up in a family construction business and said she knew they were a first rate team in the first fifteen minutes by just listening to their chatter over the fence. She said their tone was friendly and respectful with playful joking around -- sure signs they got along and that the construction would go smoothly. She was right.
>
> Dan's quality and attention to detail is sky high -- on the first remodel the sheet rock texture sub-contractor did a sub-par finish so Dan insisted they redo it at their expense. Early in the remodel he noticed a support post was in front of the planned kitchen picture window. I asked the architect to remove it but their engineer said no, it was load bearing. But Dan disagreed and pushed them to figure out a way to remove it, which resulted in a beautiful view.
>
> My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed both remodels and had no stress levels since Chateau took care of the big things and little things. I've heard how construction projects can strain relationships but I can't imagine that happening with Chateau involved. They have years of collective experience and know what they are doing so I don't have to worry.
>
> I highly recommend them without any reservations.

> We have an original 1925 hillside home that was untouched since 1935. Our goal was to restore this home and modernize infrastructure (it was on orig septic, knob/tube wiring and all orig plumbing), while respecting its past.
>
> We interviewed 3 other contractors & Dan easily was the only choice. Please read the other reviews (like "bigforkbella") and a pattern is clear: Dan, his crew and all the subs are reliable, honest, respectful and care about detail. This extends to your time, money and care of personal space (we lived in the home during the second phase that included a new roof and it was not painful thanks to everyone's thoughtfulness).
>
> This company cares about the details you cannot see when a project is done but that matter when one hangs wallpaper on a smooth, now straight 1925 framed wall or when the next earthquake comes.
>
> We look forward to this Spanish Revival gem living beyond another 90 years thanks to Chateau Construction and all involved with the project.

> I have worked with Chateau for over 10 years. Together we have built and remodeled two homes and I highly recommend them. Our professional relationship did not end once the projects ended as I continue to work with them on maintenance and additional projects. They are a high quality, high class, highly professional company that produces spectacular workmanship. Their attention to detail and ability to listen to my ideas, stay on schedule and budget are what sets them head and shoulders above their competition.

> Remodel involving most of our house skylights and revised ceiling; lighting; kitchen remodel; cabinetry; windows; flooring; painting fencing; gates. Thanks.

> We have a small ranch-style house. Dan has done two remodels for us in the past ten years. We are very happy and would hire Dan Bainbridge again in a heartbeat.
>
> The first remodel was ten years ago - the kitchen and living room. We had two younger children and lived n the house while the construction went on. This was our experience:
> 1\) the workers built a dust-wall in order to shield the rest of the house from the inevitable dust which happens, especially at demolition
> 2\) the workers cleaned up inside and outside the house at the end of every single day
> 3\) they never played loud music and there was no cursing - very nice if you are living amidst the construction!
>
> Ten years later, Dan just recently finished a remodel of our tiny master bath. (the cost range indicated is for this project) We found that he had many of the same employees and we had the same positive experience as before.
>
> Dan's attention to detail is wonderful, his taste is impeccable (so handy if you are trying to decide between two fixtures for a bathroom), and he is always mindful of the budget. His employees and subs do outstanding work. Finally, he is a calm and reasonable person who is a delight to do business with.

> Built garage and attached bonus room built 1000 square feet deck and nailing and seated benches.
> Remodeled kitchen
> Remodeled two bathrooms.
> Chateau construction has always been extremely professional with great attention to the details of each project.

**★★★★★ — popstilly, Sept. 2014**

> We have had Chateau Construction build two houses for us and found it to be a great experience. They were always on schedule and the quality of work was impeccable. Dan Bainbridge and his crew are totally professional and easy to work with. Their attention to detail is outstanding and we have recommended them to many of our friends. You can't go wrong with this team.

**★★★★★ — avrilcal, Sept. 2014**

> We have known Dan Bainbridge, the owner of Chateau Construction, since high school and wouldn't even think about hiring any other contractor. Chateau Construction has remodeled our home three times over the past 20 years: kitchen/living room, then master bedroom/baths, and finally another complete kitchen remodel a few years ago. Dan's high level of standards filters down to his employees: every employee listened to our needs, worked efficiently, suggested functional improvements to our design, made sure we stayed on budget and left the site clean every day. We are extremely happy with all of the improvements Chateau Construction has made to our home.

## Community Q&A

**Q: question** *(in Photo Questions)*

love the look. what kind of trees are those in background

A: Hi There,

The foliage on the lattice is Creeping Jasmine that was trained up the opposite side and made to overhand the top of the enclosure for increased privacy. The tall trees in the background are Coast Redwoods which are scattered throughout the property.
Thank you for your question!

**Q: Love the door on this Los Gatos home. Where is it from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Kiaarash, This door was a completely custom design from a local vendor.

**Q: What exact stain was it on the wood?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for the question. The wood railing in this image is walnut with a walnut stain.

**Q: question about cabinets** *(in Photo Questions)*

what brand is the cabinetry and where did you purchase them? color of cabinet within that brand?

A: Thank you for your question. The client used this style of cabinetry throughout their remodel. They are a factory-finished composite door and drawer front in Winter Gray. Our custom cabinet maker designed and built each cabinet locally.

**Q: Really like the dining table. Where is it from?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for your inquiry on this unique table. It's a Mori Dining table by Berkeley Mills done in Koa wood found only in Hawaii. The client selected it to compliment the Hawaiian theme of the home.

**Q: What are dark countertops?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The darker countertops are granite. They complimented the marble nicely.
