Heritage was fun to work with, greatly assisted in planning and design, were flexible on changes, and stayed within budget. They have a small, responsible crew who we trusted. The whole team delivered quality work. We are very happy with the new space and have not had a single issue or complaint. Well worth the money! **★★★★ — Kathy, Dec. 2019** > Master bath remodel - Heritage replaced the shower, tub, flooring, vanity, added top vanity cabinets, hardware, lights, installed a barn door, and painted wall and ceiling. Maggie, the owner, was excellent with design, planning, and the initial estimate. We got what we wanted without having to move plumbing which was great! The tile master did superb work. The on-top-of vanity cabinet is incredibly useful and attractive but I think that there is too much water exposure on the vanity top so the bottom cabinet corners look like they are getting damaged (I'll have to reach out to Heritage about this). The drywall worker left some mess on the walls and new bath tub (not sure why he didn't cover the tub), but the painter who followed graciously cleaned up the drywall residue. > > About 2/3 of the way through the job, communication was a bit spottier and slower - I think Heritage got extremely busy in early 2019. And although I asked for a final walk-through, I didn't get one with Maggie. I'm not sure if this was performed by her son (one of the project managers - great guy who is very skilled but I forgot his name) and I just didn't realize it or what. But in the end, issues were resolved and I am very happy with the outcome. We turned to Heritage for help. Barb and her team expertly guided us through the process. Barb sent us to the best sources for granite and helped us tie the kitchen together with a neutral and pleasing backsplash. She also helped us select fireplace stone to pull the great room together with the open kitchen. Barb's input was very welcome and matched our taste. Heritage set realistic timelines and kept their appointments. Communication was always immediate and pleasant. Measuring, installation, and delivery were excellent. We are extremely happy with the finished project. They are a full service company providing general contracting, tile, cabinetry and stone fabrication. I really enjoyed being able to do everything directly through them, it saved a lot of time and made coordination very easy. We chose all our materials in their showroom before the project, and they made sure everything was ordered and on hand before starting the work. Their showroom is extensive with tons of selection, and they stock it with tile that is quality but reasonably priced, so you don't end up falling in love with something and then find out it costs $70 per sq/ft. We love the tile we chose and it all was well under $15 per sq/ft. We also picked out and designed vanities and countertops for both bathrooms as well. Maggie did a wonderful job helping out with material selections and designing the layout for the bathrooms. > > After all the planning and purchasing was done, they started on the work. They are a small, family-run company and their small team of workers were excellent and respectful of our home. They did all the demo, prep, tile install, vanity install and countertop install themselves. They only subcontracted a plumber and drywaller, who were excellent. The fact that they do their own stone fabrication was very convenient because it was easy to make last minute changes like when we decided to use the quartz from the countertop for the shelves in our shower niche. Joe consulted with us throughout the entire project so we could make decisions as things moved along. There was quite a bit of mold residue on the subfloor from our old shower and instead of cleaning the subfloor, they replaced it for us so everything was brand new. Joe was also able to quickly diagnose a leak issue we were having that two previous plumbers couldn't figure out for us and fixed it. They spent a lot of time waterproofing and prepping the floors, shower bench and walls to make sure everything was prepped for tile, and then glass install. > > We had quite a few estimates before starting this project and I found Heritage to be very reasonably priced. I am super picky but felt they did very high quality work, communicated well and were very flexible with last-minute changes. I really like their business model of taking care of everything for you from designing and purchasing to fabrication and install without charging a premium for it. We have had quite a few large projects done in our home and I've never reviewed a contractor before, because I don't believe in writing bad reviews. I would highly recommend Heritage for anything from a countertop/backsplash install to a full bathroom or kitchen remodel. They were recommended to us a couple of years ago when we were doing our bathroom countertops. They did a great job and worked with us to figure out what we wanted first. We did our kitchen countertops this winter and we knew whom to call. Maggie is the secret weapon: We are very busy so she listened to what we wanted to do and saved us a bunch of time by sending us some options. Then, once we picked our stone, we asked her for some suggestions on a backsplash and she came up with the perfect design. That made it so easy for us. Joe and his team not only had the granite counters for my kitchen and three bathrooms done in the extremely short time frame they were given, but they did so with absolute precision and with unparalleled communication and service. They were fast with an accurate quote, extremely helpful in assiting me with where and how to look for the granite I wanted, and were quick to return calls and answer questions. I have an abnormally long counter in the kitchen so one slab wasn't long enough and I was nervous about having them stitch two together, but Joe pieced them in a way that flows so well you can't tell the difference.
