> Tyson is the best contractor I have ever met. He waited for me outside my rental property and gave me his professional advice for the water damage in the master bedroom. He knew he we probably couldn't wait for him to start the job as he was tied up with another job for 2 more weeks. He just wanted to help us to inspect the problem and gave us some free advice. He took out the damaged wood and tried to identified where the water came from. He is an angel sent by God. Thank your very much, Tyson.

> Rick and Tyson Bruce were awesome to work with. They were very professional, responsive and honest about the cost and timing of the construction.

> We hired Bruce Construction to build a 650 sq ft addition on our house and to remodel our kitchen, and we couldn't be happier with them. From the start it was clear that Rick Bruce was detail oriented - our initial quote for the project was 7 pages long. Their communication was great - anything that came up that was outside of the initial scope was presented to us ahead of time with a cost estimate and options to choose from. Rick always had good suggestions on where to spend money and where we could be economical. Rick even went out of his way to work with our engineer and the city to get our plans approved.
> His entire staff (including his 2 sons) were fantastic. We have 2 small girls at the house and they were extremely professional, great with the kids and made sure everything was cleaned up and put away each night.
> The quality of our addition is amazing - it blends perfectly with the rest of our 100+ year old house. In what can be a very stressful and trying experience, our home renovation went smoothly and that is almost entirely because of Bruce Construction. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

> I've known Rick for over 20 years. He has consistently been a hard worker, conscientious, punctual, reasonable and levelheaded.
> Witth his sons working beside him, rhe company has a well-balanced crew. I will continue to use Rick and he will have my highest recommendation.

> Bruce Construction completed a major down-to-the studs bath/kitchen remodel in our 1940’s home. Our kitchen was transformed from a small, closed off room to a beautiful and large, open kitchen that has become the heart of our home.
>
> Rick was very clear about the expectations for price and scheduling. Once we started, we knew exactly where we were in the project and continually received updates. Rick and Tyson had a ready solution for every issue that popped up even when they had to perform “exploratory surgery” on our older home. They provided prompt and positive attention to every call or issue that came up. No task, problem, or add-on was ever too small or too large. Each time we faced decisions about prudent or necessary changes, they provided professional advice and immediate action.
>
> Bruce Construction maintains an excellent rapport with the city which seems to come from their reputation for solid work and for excellent communication skills. We also appreciate Rick’s, Tyson’s, and Casey’s professional relations with their subcontractors and our designer and architect. Everyone working for Bruce Construction, including the subcontractors, were respectful, responsible and trustworthy!
>
> People brace themselves for remodels, and friends sympathize for the disruption, hassles, and uncertainty but that was not our experience at all. Never was there a time during the project that we felt anxious or uninformed. We think that going with Bruce Construction alleviates the anxiety of remodeling and let you focus on the improvements you can make in your home. Surprisingly, it was a joy to live through the remodel experience.
>
> We look forward to his involvement as we rap up with a final phase of our project...adding an interior staircase which involves everything from foundation to roof lines. We couldn’t imagine doing it without Bruce Construction.

> We are thrilled with the kitchen that Bruce Construction built for us. From the initial quote, provided within 2 days and 7 pages long (!!), to the last bits on the punch list, Rick and Tyson were as concerned with the details as I was. We had Bruce Construction remove a load-bearing wall, opening up the kitchen to the living room and dining room. The space now looks amazing, and the kitchen is the showplace of our home -- previously, it was a complete disaster!
>
> In addition to the kitchen, we made a number of other upgrades, including moving the laundry area, upgrading the fireplace to natural gas, adding a built-in bookcase, reconfiguring the bedroom closets, whole house interior paint, as well as additional structural and plumbing work. Further, I had selected a roofing contractor to repair our leaking roof (previous roof was foam). Rick made it clear that he was not comfortable with that plan, brought out his recommended roofer, who quickly indicated that we actually needed a whole new roof. When the 1st roofer contacted him to express his displeasure, Rick made it clear that he worked for me, and needed to look out for my best interests. Our new roof was installed the next week -- most importantly, it was about the same price as the initial quote for just a repair, and it doesn't leak!
>
> I was continually impressed that they were there each day (or called to let me know why they weren't coming), passed all inspections on the first 'try', and were so flexible with my husband and I, who kept adding small 'projects' to the plan. We had some major problems with the appliances that I had purchased, and Tyson was available when I needed him to accept delivery of the 3rd (and 4th and 5th) shipment of appliances. Further, Tyson was able to coordinate with other vendors that I booked with on my own (new front door, new interior doors, garage floor resurfacing, etc.) to make sure that everything fit into the plan for the week.
>
> Our (very barky) dogs were always happy to see them -- and that says a lot to me! I highly recommend Bruce Construction, and have provided their information to any friends who are looking for contractors.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Love this. Am wondering if it is working out?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I think this can work out if you are careful where you are pointing the shower head and as long as you have a low flow / pressure shower head maybe? I think this is super clean looking and slick.

A: This design does present some problems regarding water splashing on the floor outside the shower area.
