Together, we have created some beautiful projects! My most recent project was a condo kitchen downtown and an entertainment center in the Bay Area. Both projects turned out beautifully. Thank you! **★ — Jennifer Ngatuvai, Oct. 2017** > I was so disappointed with my cabinets from Excel. The salesperson said all the right things, but then when my cabinets came, it said it had a crown molding, but it just had a 1x2 along the top of the cabinets. The installer did an awful job. He rushed through everything, and didn't even bother making them level. He drilled the holes for my cabinet pulls and drilled right through the shelf inside and just put caulk in and thought it would be fine. He didn't bother cutting the holes for the outlets in my island so again someone else had to do it. I had to have their repair people come in and 2 people spent almost a full day just trying to fix what the installer did just so I could have my counter tops put in. I am so disappointed after saving for years to get my kitchen remodeled I have a sub-par product. I would NEVER recommend this company again. I do have to give credit to the repair people they did a good job with what they had to work with, but I shouldn't have had to have them at my house 4 extra days fixing things and having to order so many new parts to replace. **Comment from Excel Cabinets:** > I am sorry you were disappointed in your cabinetry. We make every effort to make sure we exceed our customer's expectations, which is the reason our experienced carpenters spent so much time after your initial install. Any remodeling cabinetry work requires a certain amount of modification, touchup and repair based on what room conditions the installer finds before the cabinets and countertops are installed. > > I apologize if you did not understand the type of crown molding you were receiving. It was clearly written up in your sales contract that it would be a flat lay crown. This is the most common type of crown used with a contemporary door style like yours and also helps hide the un-level conditions in the ceiling. The holes in your island for electrical outlets would have been cut had you requested them. Because we don't know where your electrician wants the outlets, we can't know where to cut them unless you tell us. > > We appreciate the opportunity we had to provide you with your beautiful new kitchen. Difficult throughout sales process and the installation process has been kind of a mess. Incorrect cabinet sizes, missing cabinets, missing doors, etc. This has delayed the final install of the counter tops and the microwave and has just turned in to a much longer process than I was anticipating. Tom with Excel Cabinets did an amazing job with the design. We ended up with a kitchen that was more functional and had much more space than the original. The cabinets and counter tops are beautiful and made with the highest quality materials. We have 2 toddlers that hang on the cabinet doors and handles and after 4 years of living here our kitchen is still in perfect condition. We loved so much how our kitchen turned out and the service we received from Excel Cabinets that we decided to remodel the 3.5 bathrooms in our house as well. My husband is being relocated, forcing us to move soon, however I have the confidence that our house will sell fast and the new owners will be very satisfied with the kitchen and baths just as we are. Excel Cabinets made our house a home and we will be very sad to leave it behind. I also compared what we got (white shaker cabinets) with in stock Home Depot cabinets that were on sale. For the quality and small price difference, Excel is the way to go.
