This was our first major renovation, and we worked with an interior designer (Jessica at JTW Design) who recommended them based on success with past projects. Maks was great and fit us in their schedule during a very busy year for construction services, but we never felt like we fell through the cracks of bigger projects. We completely redesigned our kitchen, dining, and living rooms, and came in right on budget (if not less than what we initially thought it would cost), and exactly per the timeline we gave them. Our project manager Brian was the best--he communicated well, was always super friendly and pleasant, and never met a problem he couldn't solve. He helped recommend design choices when asked, and I quickly learned to trust his opinion as it almost always mirrored what our designer thought. He facilitated things between his crew, subcontractors, and our schedule well. He even caught a roof leak (unrelated to our renovation) when we were out of town, temporarily plugged it for us, called up some roofers he worked with, and had our roof completely fixed by the time we returned from our weekend trip. To say VMAX goes above and beyond puts it mildly. We used 7/16" drapery rod cut to size (a bit longer than the width of the opening) We asked a carpenter to cut the holes on both sides. Worked out perfect!
