The original staircase dated back to 17th century France, was disassembled and brought to the U.S. to be added to this custom home. It required the manufacturing of additional stairs and railings and had to identically match the historic 17th century design. > As head of this project, Dan oversaw and facilitated the complete fabrication and construction of the addition to meet the satisfaction of the General Contractor -and a very critical client. > Dan Bowers is a rare man who understands the value of each step towards a goal. Building the spiral staircase from scratch required a great deal of historic research, follow-through and consistent quality in materials, management and construction. If corners are cut, the end result suffers more with each following step.
