From the very start Ed, Andy, and their team were patient and respectful in explaining and helping us understand what to expect as the project proceeded. With their help, we were able to set up a temporary living space in our basement and stay in our home for the duration of the project. > > We appreciated Stern’s attention to detail, superior craftsmanship, and noted the pride they take in their work. They also made every effort to ensure that the quality of the work that was subcontracted also met or exceeded their high standards. > > They did a great job of managing and coordinating equipment and material deliveries as well as the work of the subcontractors, keeping our project moving and on schedule. There was always someone on site, occasionally just one or two individuals or sometimes multiple crews, working nearly every workday during the construction. I had approached him via Houzz with an idea to build a platform storage bed for my studio apartment. He replied very quickly and got the ball rolling on my project. He was able to get me a digital sketch of the bed within a couple of days, and was able to start working on the project. He was very communicative throughout the build, and happy to ask any questions I had. The install was straight forward, and he was very thoughtful of the tools (noise) he was using in an apartment in a large complex. The end result is a wonderful bed frame that allows for so much storage in a small apartment. It has really made a difference in our lives, and it is 100% exactly what I wanted it to be. He drafted 4 or 5 different designs for both the island and the shelving unit that we were able to help revise until we came to the one that worked for us. It actually was fun!
