We reached out to the owner, Kirk, and was able to tour a couple of his homes in progress. > > Kirk's bid was higher but the quality of foundation/framing/insulation/finish work was superior to other builders and we got several premium upgrades as standard. Kirk started our parent's home the first week of July and promised (unless major complication) to have them in by Thanksgiving. Also we had about 3 weeks weather delays during construction. > Before selecting Kirk as our home builder, we talked to and/or received several bids from other local home builders in the area. They were either much higher or not complete with only estimates for certain phases of construction. None included their Plans, or changes to their plans. They did not include drainage or dirt work around the home. > Kirk included all of this in our Budget, as well as changes we wanted including : inside and outside electoral outlets and water faucets.
