Amazing. I feel happy every time I step foot in my kitchen. The work that Erik Hagen did on my 105 year old home renovation-restoration was incredible. He listened closely through all of my ideas and wish lists and improved up on all of them without blowing my budget. I now have a fully modern and beautiful home inside of a solid and safe historic structure. This tiny, rammed earth getaway was built for a private couple wishing to lose themselves among the pinon bushes. Offset curved roof overhang to shade in summer and let light in winter. Full-height windows on the south to capture light and heat, the rammed earth also acting as a heatsink. No air conditioning, the only heat being a wood stove. Took full advantage of the Southern California living and turned the deck into an outdoor living area where most guests would congregate. Pulling out all the 80's sheet vinyl, carpet and particle board cabinets. Purposefully reused and refurbished materials and refinished the floors into a modern industrial feel with shabby-chic furnishings.
