Nearly all the furniture they brought in was quite badly damaged, stained, or covered in adhesive goop that they didn't clean off. From chipped glass tops to torn fabric hanging out of the bottom of chairs to missing buttons. > Mismatched finishes on the chairs for the dining table, half chrome and half brushed nickle, and a rug for the main living area that was so loud you couldn't really see anything else in photos, nevermind the floor-to-ceiling solid quartz slab backlit fireplace surround. > Staging should add to the house and accentuate it's features, but what restage did would've brought the value of the house down by having everything look beat up and damaged. Better to show it empty than with what they brought in. > When I tried to get it addressed, their sales guy Cam (who was way too pushy from the very start) made an ultimatum that said either I pay immediately, or they take their stuff out. > Cam's attitude and statements were that Restage does multi-million dollar penhouses all the time, and that they were doing me a -favour- by accomodating such a 'small job'. > I'd suggest to Restage that if they don't want to do 'small jobs', to not take them on, rather than send out broken furniture and follow that up with a "you're beneath us" attitude. **Comment from Restage Home Staging:** > Jon, Thanks for your feedback, Were sorry that your experience was less than awesome. > > We do require payment up front before furnishings are even installed - In your case this didn’t happen. We did bring in items but as stated we were scheduled to come in and finish the project - Due to your complaints we were not able to complete the project. > > We do touch up, clean and steam all bedding prior to completion - This step was not carried out as the job was never completed. > > In the end the resolution was to remove our items and no payment was ever received for any work done.
