A: Thank you I believe this is kashmir white granite. **Q: Table and chairs** *(in Photo Questions)* Who is the manufacturer of the table and chairs? A: Unfortunately, I did not supply or specify them, so I cannot tell you the manufacturer. **Q: What is the brand and/or style of the wall tile? I love it!** *(in Photo Questions)* I am currently redoing my kitchen and would like to incorporate the back splash shown in my kitchen. Thank you! A: I believe this was part of the Sonoma Tile Collection. However, it is possible that it has been discontinued since then, as this project was done about 8 years ago. **Q: soapstone or granite for kitchen countertops** *(in Design Dilemma)* trying to decide which stone to use in my kitchen A: If a scratch on your countertop will upset you, go with granite. Soapstone scratches fairly easily. It can be buffed out, but if it will bother you, do yourself a favor and go with granite, which is very difficult to scratch. Also, many soapstones are oiled to get a deeper color. This is not necessary, but if you want that deeper color it must be done weekly and eventually monthly for 2 years. If you are unsure if you want oiled, wet the soapstone with a damp rag and that color will be what it looks like when oiled. Good Luck! **Q: help with kitchen vent-less exhaust option** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hello folks: I am considering the purchase of a house. We have narrowed down to one - great schools, wife loves it... only 1 snag - the stove-burner is located in the center island and there is no chimney above it. House will not permit a vent/exhaust to blow it all outside. I am however, considering a 'vent-less' option - something I can hang down from the ceiling. Having filters to cut out the smoke/odor etc, Has anyone done this kind of project before? How tough/expensive it is? Am desperate as this This is could be a show-stopper in my decision. thx, Vish A: Just remember that it only filters out some of the grease smoke and odor, so you will want to regularly clean any surface near the hood that grease can collect.
