**★★★★★ — CUSTOM CRAFT - Design Build Remodel, Oct. 2014**

> I first met Joe through our local NARI chapter, where we both served as committee chairs on the board of directors. Since then, we’ve worked on a few residential construction projects together. Joe is one of a kind in his creativity. He has the unique ability to thoughtfully design new structures while taking into consideration the architectural features of the existing building and surrounding community. I would recommend Joe Augustine & JFA Architecture to homeowners or organizations looking for creative, professional architectural services for their next construction project.

**★★★★★ — S Burton, Aug. 2014**

> We hired JFA Architecture for our main floor renovation (kitchen, dining room, music room, family room, laundry and powder rooms). This was a major renovation that included removing walls, moving a bathroom and laundry room and eliminating an entire staircase. From our first meeting discussing concepts with JFA to the completion of the project, we were 100 % satisfied. Joe came up with ideas we would never have thought of and it made all the difference in making our house our dream home. He was always available to answer questions, even shopped with me to help in all the decision making. He recommended the builder/contractor based on his knowledge of our needs. He could not have made a better choice. They worked well with JFA as well as with me and my husband. Once the work began,he was hands on and aware of each phase of the project and came to the house if we needed him to. We will certainly be using him again for our second floor renovation.

**Comment from Joseph Augustine, Architect:**

> Thank you for the kind words! It is always a blessing to work a gracious client!

**★★★★ — Habitat for humanity bucks cou, Aug. 2014**

> Joe provided an exceptional design for habitat for humanity pro bono. Habitat is extremely grateful and looking forward to working with him in the future.
> we would recomend JFA

**★★★★★ — J. Schwartz, LLC Remodeling & Fine Homebuilding, Aug. 2014**

> I am reviewing JFA Architecture from the perspective of a Remodeler and Fine Home Builder, but also of a homeowner - from either perspective, Joe Augustine is a pleasure to work with; he has a great ability to hear and translate desires and goals into beautiful architecture, and he is budget minded. His addition/renovation designs seamlessly blend with the origins of the home.
> Joe's designs are 3 dimensionally rendered, which allows for an unparalleled ability for home owner to understand the designs, and know exactly what they should expect.
> We have worked with JFA Architecture on new custom homes, whole house renovations, pool houses, kitchen renovations, and everything in between - and all of the projects are beautiful!

**★★★★★ — Stone+Glidden, Inc., Sept. 2012**

> JFA Architecture is terrific to work with. Joe Augustine is very structured in his approach and yet creative in his designs. He actually listens to the clients and their satisfaction with the final product is a great indication that he has heard them! I really appreciate the thoughtful way that Joe works and his process oriented approach.

  - Description: Having a beautiful residence provided our client with the canvas to make their dream a reality. The rear elevations shows the 3 major components of the remodel: third floor addition, kitchen expansion and outdoor living spaces. The existing sunroom, one of the few highlights on the rear of the home, became the inspiration for the kitchen expansion and the outdoor covered terrace. The third floor dormer addition, along with our clients desire towards green energy, became a logical location for a…

  - Description: A first floor renovation and an expansion is exactly what this quant, 1930′s home near the river in Bucks County needed. The growing needs of the family and the desire to bring this home into the 21st century lead to the calling of Gemmi Construction and JFA Architecture. Through careful planning, keeping an eye on the budget and team work created this stunning renovation. The result is a stunning renovation that is carefully woven into the existing home to the point that a visitor would believe…

  - Description: To develop an appreciation and respect for the site, we began by studying and analyzing the site features, including the topography, solar orientation and landscaping. To preserve the bucolic quality of the land, the new home was superimposed over the footprint of the existing structure. This greatly reduced the environmental impact upon the site. The design of the home was strongly influenced by the regional traditions rooted in the heart and mind of the owners. We endeavored to create a home t…

  - Description: The existing house began as a cape-cod that was built approximately 60 years ago. The house is situated on a moderately sloping site in Elwyn, Pennsylvania. The primary considerations for performing extensive renovations to the home rather than relocate was the appreciation for the privacy of the mature, wooded two-acre site, as well as being the childhood home of one of the owners. The house has had several additions and renovations over its life and the age and quality of the overall home were…

  - Description: Our client came to us with a desire to renovate their modest 40 year old home. While the house began as a typical suburban home void of individuality, it was the owner’s goal to transform the house into a craftsman inspired home with character and purpose. One of the challenges during the preliminary phase of the project was to create a design solution that transformed the house as requested, but still complimented the established fabric of the neighborhood.

  - Description: The original brick colonial home was built in the 1957 and while being well maintained, it had never been renovated or modified. The primary goal of the project was to renovate the modest, compartmentalized rooms of the main living areas into an open plan with views and vistas. Basically, the home needed to be updated to accommodate a growing 21st century family. The project included an addition that was carefully woven into the fabric of the existing home. The end result is a kitchen and dining…

  - Description: The existing structure is a charming three story, Italianate style home. Constructed in 1830, the original portion of the house is approximately 178 years old. The existing seasonal porch was demolished and reconstructed to create additional living space. The renovation allowed the kitchen to be extended into this space. The character and details of the project was strongly influenced by the historic personality of the original house.
