**★★★★★ — Lance Schneier, Feb. 2023**

> Richard took on a complicated project for us. Not only did he design our beautiful home, but he successfully shepherded it through the approval process before the architectural review board for our historic district.
>
> We had built several homes over the years so we had fairly strong feelings about what we wanted. Rich did the impossible -- he followed our direction while leading us to new explore design paths.
>
> Working with Rich was fun, something that can't often be said about what is typically a stress producing situation. The end result is the best house we ever built. We marvel at what he created for us daily.

**★★★★★ — G A, Feb. 2023**

> Rich helped my wife and build our dream home on Dublin Road on the river. He took our vision and brought it to life, he made the process interactive and fun. It was our first home so it was very overwhelming but Rich made it easy - and helped us navigate not only the design but the process of choosing the right contractors to help us get it done. Rich is a great guy, and great architect. Thanks Rich.

> Richard did an excellent job of giving us ideas & a plan on how to transform our 20 year old dated home into whole house remodeled Modern Farm House. He has a great approach, very professional, and does what he says he is going to do.

**★★★★★ — madurst47, Nov. 2020**

> Richard was a joy to work with. He incorporated all our ideas and made many suggestions that improved our vision. We are proud to call this our forever home. Would highly recommend Richard.

**Comment from Richard Taylor Architects:**

> Mike and Mary Anne - thank you, and congratulations on your new home, what a wonderful site! I'm already jealous of your endless views...

**★★★★★ — Chuck Zebula, March 2019**

> We decided to put a covered porch addition to our backyard patio to provide added space for outside enjoyment. Of most importance to us was that the addition look as if it had been there for years -- as if it was part of the original construction. We hired Richard Taylor Architects to do the design work for us --- and we are very pleased with the results! Rich asked many questions and brought forward many ideas to enable us to decide on what we wanted the final design to look like. His experience and knowledge in this area enabled us to add a covered patio that looks completely integrated with our existing home. We are completely satisfied, as Rich also completed the work in a timely manner, and on budget as well. I would highly recommend Rich for your work, as he will bring professional, fresh and well-thought ideas and design to your project. Again, our covered patio looks terrific!

**★★★★★ — Richard Dickerson, March 2019**

> This was a great experience for us. I would highly recommend Richard for handling your home remodeling project. Very professional and their knowledge and quality was outstanding.

**Comment from Richard Taylor Architects:**

> Dick - thank you, it was great experience for me, too. I use your project as an example frequently! https://rtastudio.com/portfolio\_page/contemporary-home-remodeling-residential-architect-london-ohio/

**★★★★★ — JOHN WEATHERWAX, March 2019**

> Rich was very easy to work with and helped us through all the hectic steps of construction. He put our ideas to reality and exceeded our expectations.

**Comment from Richard Taylor Architects:**

> Thanks John and Angie - it was a pleasure working with you, and I love how you've furnished the new rooms! https://rtastudio.com/portfolio\_page/family-room-bar-addition-residential-architect-dublin-ohio/

**★★★★★ — Greg Tillar and Peggy Blackmore, Sept. 2018**

> We highly recommend Richard Taylor. We did an extensive remodel to our home and Richard was a true professional throughout the year long project. He was patient taking the time to listen to our thoughts and then guiding us through his process which resulted in a finished project that exceeded our expectations. In addition to the architectural drawings he also provided sketches of the interior and exterior giving us a clear vision on what the rooms and house exterior would look like. He also assisted in the selection of a remodeling contractor and was active during all stages of the building process. Many thanks to Richard for making our dream a reality.

**Comment from Richard Taylor Architects:**

> Greg and Peggy - as you know I've always been intrigued by your house, and I'm so glad I had the chance to work on it with you! https://rtastudio.com/portfolio\_page/whole-house-remodeling-room-addition-residential-architect-dublin-ohio/

**★★★★★ — A.J. Beisler, Aug. 2018**

> We did a house rejuvenation project (adding a third garage, new roof, new driveway, adding dormer windows to a small room to expand it and added windows to the great room). Rich was outstanding to work with: always timely with deliverables presenting multiple options for each phase of the project - what we asked for plus several other options that we had not considered or thought of which was super helpful to us to be sure we were making the right decisions. Additionally, Rich met with us and the builder regularly to ensure correct and accurate project completion. Moreover, he was also able to get things through the city and HOA relatively quickly, so no delays there. All-in-all an excellent experience with Rich Taylor - very pleased with what turned out as a great project.

**★★★★★ — Kathy Killen, March 2018**

> In the spring of 2003 I had the pleasure of working with Rich Taylor to design my "not so big" home on a very challenging rural property. Rich is easy to work with; he listens, is very knowledgeable and best of all, he made it all work, including the budget. My goals included preserving the natural woodland/stream setting, keeping the view available from every possible window, and creating a space for an Endless Pool in my playroom. It all happened with Rich's attention to detail.
> In the spring of 2015, I again worked with Rich to create a dining room for my home. Rich designed, facilitated the engineering, and recommended a builder. The project went smoothly and was on budget. The new room seamlessly blends with the existing home, and I love it all. Thanks, Rich!!

**Comment from Richard Taylor Architects:**

> Thanks Kathy - the ultimate compliment is when a client stays in her home 15 years! Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I LOVE that art glass window you put in!

**★★★★★ — Fiddler's Green, Feb. 2018**

> For ten years Rich has been my go-to Architect for several new build, update, and design projects. To this day, I marvel at the skill, beauty, and detail in his designs.
>
> One of his greatest talents is the ability to to perceive and understand what you are after, and then apply his talent and experience to make it happen. In other words, he listens first, and then gives you a design that knocks your socks off.

**Comment from Richard Taylor Architects:**

> Bill - ten years, and Fiddler's Green is still evolving! Looking forward to working on the hangar and runway ;) ...thanks for the very kind comments!

**★★★★★ — smueller, Feb. 2018**

> Rich is the best! We highly recommend him to anyone in need of an architect.
>
> We worked with Rich to design our forever home. He did a fantastic job of listening to our wants / needs and translating them into our dream home. He was also a pleasure to work with. Rich took the time to address all our questions, helped us manage our budget, worked around our work schedules, timely responded to our phone calls & emails, and was organized & well prepared for our meetings. He was always very friendly & patient and never made us feel bad for asking a lot of questions through the entire process.
>
> Rich also introduced us to our builder and worked closely with him during the building process. Thanks to Rich’s impeccably detailed plans, we ran into no issues or unwelcomed surprises during construction.
>
> We absolutely love our house that Rich designed for us and cannot say enough good things about working with him.

**Comment from Richard Taylor Architects:**

> Thanks Adam and Sarah - but you deserve much of the credit for clearly articulating your ideas and for remaining open to new ones throughout the design process! Looking forward to sharing pix of your house later this year.

We think the result here is spectacular, and consider this one of our favorite homes. Entertaining is at the heart of this design - the kitchen, hearth, room, and dining room flow effortlessly into each other making gourmet cooking the feature event of the evening. A: This client hired us to do a true custom design for them. We protect the investments of our clients so that they continue to truly have a unique home.

I plan to use hardi plank lap siding to keep the clapboard look.
I was told that 4" reveal creates too many shadow lines. Would a 6" reveal be acceptable if I was going for a Williamsburg colonial look or perhaps 5". thank you. I live in New York. Simple house with 4 windows on front (8 over 8)

A: Thanks for contacting us. A 5" or 6" reveal is best for the exact reason you mentioned. I would suggest 5" with the size house you seem to be describing; you don't want to do too large if the scale of your home is not large. Good luck!

Could you please tell me material used? thank you!

A: This client used mainly soapstone for their countertops. We're glad you like it!
