### Reviews

**★★ — Neil, Feb. 2026**

> We hired Just Jill Interiors to design our dining room, family room, and entryway, spending north of $60,000.
>
> While Jill has a good design eye, our experience became increasingly frustrating toward the end of the project.
>
> During the design process, my wife expressed several concerns about certain selections. In some cases, we felt those concerns were minimized or we were encouraged to proceed despite reservations (“you’ll see I’m right, trust me”).
>
> Two specific issues illustrate the problem:
>
> • Family Room Lamp: My wife was unhappy with the selected color. Still unhappy after delivery, we requested a replacement and offered to pay any price difference. Repeated emails, texts, and phone calls left this unresolved.
>
> • Leather Ottoman: The ottoman delivered differed from what had been agreed upon by us. We later learned that when the supplier could not produce it as originally specified, Jill made a design decision independently without consulting us.
>
> Communication deteriorated significantly at the end of the engagement. We were told additional invoices had been sent that we never received, and referenced timelines did not align with the documented email record. Ultimately, we decided to part ways.
>
> As it stands, we do not consider the original scope fully completed to our satisfaction.
>
> If you choose to work with this firm, we recommend:
> \* Requiring written confirmation of all design changes.
> \* Insisting on approval before substitutions or modifications.
> \* Withholding final payment until every item is resolved.
>
> Strong aesthetic vision is important, but listening, transparency, and follow-through are equally critical in a project of this size.
>
> Finally, the Houzz review states Just Jill does 3D Virtualization. This is not true in our case. In fact we were never even allowed to take home paper copies of our design (or proposed elements of the design) because Jill stated “I had customers take them and do them elsewhere”. So we never had reference material on our own design until after we paid the deposit.

> My first project with Jill went great. That's why it's been so disappointing that she's ghosted me this year after giving her a five-figure deposit for my master bedroom project in December.
>
> The last I've heard from her was from June when she was going to let me know "in a few days" what was going on. Crickets.

**★★★★★ — Brian Kidd, Aug. 2023**

> I have a 3 bedroom condo that needed an almost total remodel, and as a middle aged man with limited interior design sense (I knew what the color Taupe was lol), I needed a lot of help. A friend of mine suggested that I reach out to Just Jill Interiors to help me with my project so I gave them a call. All through the process I was impressed with Jill's level of professionalism, her thoroughness, and her ability to somehow understand what I was looking for even though I wasn't able to describe or articulate it very well to her. She always provided me with a quality slate of various options, allowing me to choose the ones most to my personal taste. And she never flinched at any of my constant questions all through the job. I was 100% happy and satisfied with the services provided by Just Jill Interiors. If you have any interior design needs, don't hesitate to give Jill a call, you won't regret it.

**★★★★ — Margaret and John March, March 2023**

> My husband and I met with Jill at Just Jill in May of 2021 to discuss updating one large room including a kitchen, dining area, and living area. The main problem to overcome was that the space poorly represented us individually and definitely didn’t represented us as a couple. Jill spent a lot of time with us trying to understand our separate visions and developing a plan that worked for both of us. It didn’t take long for us to agree on which of Jill’s design ideas we liked best; she did a very good job of finding colors and styles that reflected both of our tastes. The end result, installed this month, March of 2023, surpassed our hopes for an updated, enlivened space, filled with color, with an emphasis on aspects of both our personalities throughout the room.
>
> Jill heard when we said we needed more light in the kitchen and now it is a bright space with easily accessible pots and pans. We now have a stylish, new light fixture to go with the dining room table, seating bench and chairs. These all seem as if they will wear well and are multi-functional as some of the chairs have rollers and can be used in the living area. A great idea, I thought. As far as the living space goes; we have an exquisite new, very large sofa with fun throw pillows. Because we have a dog, we needed a sturdy fabric; Jill recommended a great outdoor fabric that is actually very soft. Plus, she arranged for us to have our sofa, rug, dining room bench and chairs treated for stain prevention after everything was installed.
>
> On one large wall we have beautiful built-in-bookshelves, floor to ceiling, since books are an important part of our lives. Jill designed an art collage to be imbedded within the bookshelves. This may sound odd but it is one of my favorite parts of the room redesign. On another wall, we have gorgeous high-end tile to add interest behind the television that is mounted on the wall.
>
> Also, a shout-out to all of Jill’s sub-contractors. They were vaccinated, wore masks, were polite, and arrived when scheduled. They were a pleasure to have in our home. I also want to give a double shout-out to Quinn who manages Jill’s business when she is occupied. Quinn was reliable and wonderful to work with.
>
> The work is almost complete; still unfinished are the staining of the mantle under the tv and a glass shelf across a bay window for exhibiting set-abouts and plants. But we already really love how our living area looks, and are so happy we made the decision to do this. This was my first time hiring decorating help and I learned a lot from the experience. First of all, the process took an extremely long time to complete. Secondly, I learned to ask the price of things, which I didn’t do regarding the tile so we did have ‘sticker shock.’ I’m sure over time we’ll forget about that and will just enjoy its beauty.
>
> I wish we could give 4.5 stars. Our regret was the length of time the redesign took to complete, however all in all we are very grateful customers.

**Comment from Just Jill! Interiors:**

> Margaret, I am so thrilled that you were happy with the way the room came out!! That's what we strive to do!! I sure wish all the Covid aftermath issues of supply chain and staffing shortages didn't affect our timeline as badly as it did. I appreciate your patience and understanding and love that you're happy with the work we've done,

> Jill was great to work with! She was professional and considerate. She gave me so many options to help stick with my lifestyle needs, style and budget. She listed every step of the way. I would absolutely recommend her and look forward to working with her again in the future!

**★★★★★ — thomas\_m\_schaefer\_1, Sept. 2021**

> We worked with Jill to remodel our Living Room, Dining Room, and Sun Room. Jill previously helped us redesign a home office. We are really happy with the results, and enjoy our new living spaces.
>
> There are a few things that we enjoyed about working with Jill. First is that she gained a pretty good understanding of what we might like, but would never try without the help of an interior decorator. At the same time she understood what we would never go for. Second is that she has a really good sense of color and texture. Our new rooms all have an individual style, but all the items in a given room work together beautifully.
>
> Finally, she has a knack for solving tricky design challenges. For example, our home office is not very big, but we wanted space for all family members to work at the same time. Jlll found a really neat solution. Or, after we added a new sun room, our dining room had to accommodate more foot traffic, and it was hard to find a place for a good size dining room table. She found a clever solution for that problem as well.

> Jill is AMAZING!!! She did the design for my two bedrooms, living room, work area, and kitchen. She was so fun to work with and created a space that I love so much..I barely want to leave my house anymore! It is perfect. Thank you Jill!!!!!!

**★★★★★ — Alexandra Schneider, June 2019**

> Just Jill was absolutely amazing to work with! The project was to redo my entire bedroom, including the bed, on a limited budget. We were able to stay on budget and Jill was a huge help! Jill worked very patiently with me and helped me figure out what I truly wanted in my bedroom to feel refreshed and relaxed upon entering, but within my price range. She helped me figure out what layout would work best in my room considering it's relatively small and helped me pick out materials that I fell in love with as well as decorations to make it feel a little more homey. I absolutely LOVE the finished product of my room and constantly find myself hanging out in my room to escape after a long day.

**★★★★★ — Christopher Day, Dec. 2018**

> I found Jill by browsing through this site initially looking for advice on some paint and floors. After talking to her and getting to know her, I decided to trust her with a complete overhaul of my entire condo. I'm so happy that I did! Whenever guests come over, they walk into my living room and say "Wow!" She spent months getting all of the details right including being there personally for a few days straight at the very end during the move in period. Her stated goal was to have me walk into a home that was ready to live in and put my feet up and that's exactly what she gave me. When some of the contract paint was not happening up to her standards, she stepped in and communicated what was happening and even personally absorbed a big part of the costs because it was not something that she would put her name on. Truly great to work with and couldn't be happier with the outcome.

**★★★★★ — sarah mears, Feb. 2018**

> Just Jill Interiors completed a beautiful design for our family room. Jill has an amazing eye for design. She took the time to get to know our family, and our needs for the space as well as our likes and dislikes for colors and patterns. The final result is an amazing room that is practical and beautiful.

**★★★★★ — Carol Waters, Dec. 2017**

> Jill helped me redo my master bath and did a great job. She has a fun personality and great taste for design. She put together three options which was perfect and then we changed a few things along the way. I already had a contractor; and, she worked very well with him also. I would definitely recommend her and will use her again!

**★★★★★ — Stephen Janning, Sept. 2017**

> We hired Jill to remodel part of our loft-stye condominium. She took great care to really get to know us as people to inform her recommendations - even interviewed my wife and I separately as well as together. Jill respected our budget guidelines - in fact the design we chose was the cheapest option offered, a pleasant surprise. We think the final product is striking and affords many unique "views", despite the relatively small space. See picture. We love the final result

  - Description: I love working with couples as they try to combine households and I especially love when that happens later in life. In this case, one partner was a laid back, barefoot, faded jeans, guitar playing former psychologist who fell in love at first sight with a beautiful, perfectly dressed, chic Southern woman who loved all things Charleston. Such a wonderful pair to be around!! So the challenge became how to mesh these two polar opposite styles as seamlessly as these two people meshed in life. I lik…

  - Description: As with most homes, the dining room is the first room visitors see when they walk in the door and stand in the entry. This room needed a bit of a face lift to make feel not only more relevant but also capable to handle the job of making people feel welcome when they walk in the door. And seriously...can we talk about that chandelier?! So delicious, right?!

  - Description: My client purchased a townhouse and decided despite the small space, he just had to have an 80" TV. It was a challenge for sure!! He loved all things modern and wanted a room that was sleek and clean but comfortable. Task One was to make that ENORMOUS TV not overtake the room. We added a Dimplex electric fireplace and built the room around that.

  - Description: It's hard enough on a parent when your kids are growing up and out of the kids' room and play room phase. As much as we dread stepping on Lego's (that REALLY HURTS) we are forlorn when we pack them up for the last time. Their growing limbs hanging over their toddler beds pull at parental heartstrings. Here's where parents of twin were when they called us: it was time to let the kids grow up and separate their girls into their own spaces. The bedrooms had to accommodate sleepovers as well as be a…

  - Description: My clients had moved from a large home to a small loft downtown. They knew that they were going to have a tough time finding things that would fit such a small area so they called me. They wouldn't entertain here: their days of that are done. They just wanted an intimate little love nest that was comfortable and chic and displayed their favorite band's concert posters! :) And seriously?! THE BEAR!! HOW GREAT IS THAT BEAR?!

  - Description: This lovely couple wanted to update their bathroom but without moving things around. Since their layout was great, this was not only possible but some of their current features were great inspiration pieces. Take a look at the vanity area: The arch over the sink is just divine! I thought that repeating over the tub area would not only tie those areas together but would help in the hiding any damage or uneven areas on the walls when we replaced the jet tub with a soaker.

  - Description: I live and work in an area with gobs of new construction. And my clients, like most home owners, opted for neutral colors when it came to the builder's selections. And the result was lovely. Calm. Quiet. But that wasn't my client's personality. They are fun, bubbly, lively and energetic. They have two young children. They have a dog. The room needed to, not only reflect their personalities, but be kid friendly as well. I am a firm believer that you can have a beautiful room and it can be easy to…

  - Description: My clients' daughter had just moved out into her own place and it was time to take back the house. I fell in love with their amazing art collection and wanted to showcase it. - Description: I have a special place in my heart for members of the military, in particular women who serve. The particular client is a captain in the US Army and has been deployed twice. Each time she's gotten the call, she packs up her place, puts her things in storage and goes. She's ended up renting an apartment and not only has walls that can't be painted but she has no accessories as things have been broken in her many moves. - Description: This may be one of my favorite spaces. I have no idea why I first thought "MURPHY BED!" when I saw this space but I did. My clients have three grown children who come visit from time to time. Their home already had a dedicated guest room and a den that had a sofa bed. They wanted a dedicated office but also needed another guest room. This seemed to hit both points. I designed the layout to suit both needs. - Description: One of my favorite type of client to work with is a single mom, specifically a working one. They are just so deserving of a calm restful space and never seem to get one. This client showed me her favorite photo from her favorite vacation: a pair of ponies on the Outer Banks. She told me that no matter where they were financially, she always found a way to get back there each year. There was no question that I'd use that photo as the inspiration for this space.
