Twenty years ago I had a very satisfactory experience and when I went back for my recent bathroom and kitchen renovation, it was the same, if not even better. The selection of tiles is so broad it can accommodate a modern, traditional or vintage approach. Most importantly, no job is too small. For my tiny back-splash in the kitchen, I received the same attention as for the overall bathroom design. I love tiles in general and was allowed to indulge in looking, touching and trying out various combinations. I wanted to create a universal bathroom that did not look institutional and is easy to take care of. The Florim porcelain Calacatta and Ardoise en Gris tiles give the room a luxurious look. Bill, Laura and Austin came up with great ideas and problem solving throughout the project and made sure it looked professional and did not go over budget. I can only find good things to say about World Mosaic. An informal poll here. I'm doing white subway in my kitchen, and was set on matte tiles, but then saw some photos of kitchens with glossy tiles and of course, now I'm second guessing myself. Cabinets will be painted white, counter tops a charcoal/grey laminate. (Rush, by Nevamar). My style is funky, ethnic, a bit of industrial, zen - a mish-mash - but the kitchen cabinets are pretty traditional. (House built in 70s.) The entire house is stunning! **Q: Subway tile in herringbone style vs. glass subway tile** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hello! We are currently undecided with our kitchen backsplash. For background info: our cabinets are white thermofoil, with white quartz called Aspen White, which has some grey veins in it. I have attached pictures of our kitchen layout. We are currently deciding on a white subway tile put in a herringbone style. Can't decide if a 3 X 6 subway tile or if a 4 X 15.75 is a better option for this. Our other alternative is a glass white mosaic subway tile. Which one of these will give us a timeless look? Something we will not get tired of looking at? A: White subway tile is definitely a classic that won't date any time soon, but if you're concerned about getting tired of the look, glass tile is the route to go.
