> After meeting with several customs builders, I knew that Jason was the builder we would hire. He was very personable and genuine. I enjoyed his years of experience, learning the story of his family business and I respected his business model. I appreciated that he was selective with the clients he agreed to work with. To me, this meant that Jason is not just interested in the bottom line, but also that he recognizes the importance of the relationship between the builder and the client. After almost 2 years of working with BACH, I now understand why this relationship is so critical. If you are reading this and have never built a home, let me tell you, it’s a long process in CA. Working with BACH was so enjoyable, I’m almost sad that we have completed our project. Not only is Jason’s team smart, hard working and incredibly talented, they are also great people.
>
> The first several weeks of our partnership involved finalizing the design of our home. Although we had not officially hired BACH, Jason agreed to work with us on a consulting basis. This turned out to be incredibly valuable as it allowed us the opportunity to design the home and make selections that fit into our budget from the beginning. By the time we were ready to select a builder, we had already developed a solid relationship with BACH making them the most natural fit for our project.
>
> Blake was the Superintendent assigned to our build. We were not only impressed by his project management skills, but also how friendly and kind he was. He consistently would go out of his way to make things easier for us and to ensure our satisfaction. He partnered successfully with our architect and designer and seamlessly executed changes. Blake also handled issues with the town, electric company and even with our neighbors. After moving into our home, neighbors shared with me unanimously how respectful and friendly everyone from BACH was. Having witnessed many builds from friends and neighbors, it was important to us to choose a builder that would not only be respectful and friendly but also keep the job site clean which BACH definitely excelled at.
>
> Our project had a fairly tight timeline. Since we were living in a rental, we were ideally trying to time the end of our lease with the completion of our home. BACH worked tirelessly to make this happen for us. Throughout the life of our project we met on a weekly basis to review progress, milestones, and finalize decisions. This proved to be an excellent strategy and because of this we were able to minimize delays and errors in the project while also staying on target for completion. Every project has bumps and challenges, however I believe BACH’s expertise is what allowed us to avoid major barriers.
>
> Several people have reached out to me over the last year in search of a custom builder. Everyone has the same question as did we when we began this journey. How expensive is this and how was BACH at staying within the parameters of your budget? My answer is always the same. Building a custom home is expensive absolutely. Having open, honest discussions is the key to making sure that you do not blow your budget. BACH is honest, fair and transparent with their pricing. They worked with us to stay within the parameters of our budget and when we pushed back they got creative and offered solutions. There are 3 things I think you need to be successful and happy with building a home. Obviously money is the major factor. But the others are time and energy. The more time and energy you can devote to your project, the less likely you are to have mistakes or delays.
>
> We have been in our home now for several months and could not be happier with its quality, craftsmanship and beauty. BACH continues to work with us on any adjustments we have decided to make, which is a natural side effect of actually now living in the home we created. We continue to be more than satisfied with the level of customer service.
>
> There is no other builder I would recommend more. BACH is absolutely the “A” player in the custom built home space.

> Jason and his team were fantastic to work with. We expanded and completely remodeled our older home. Their quality of work and attention to detail is apparent in everything they do as well as the subcontractors they chose to work with. Building and remodeling in the Bay area is not cheap especially nowadays, but with that in mind, we were very satisfied with their work knowing that they are thorough, competent, honest and make a great product. Everyone who has come through the house since whether realtor, window treatment consultants etc, has said that the house looks extremely well constructed compared with other houses they have seen from other contractors. We would highly recommend BACH to friends and family for any home building or remodeling project without any reservations and would use them again if we ever did more remodeling.

> Jason Skinner, owner of Bay Area Custom Homes, has been the Contractor on several of my projects and it has been a pleasure working with him each and every time. Jason is a consummate professional with an excellent eye and consistency for well crafted construction no matter the project size. His high standard for quality is apparent at every level of his company, both in staff and crew. Jason has a soft spoken, easy going manner and genuinely cares about each Client he serves. He brings all parties together (Clients, consultants, Architect, Designer) to work as a team during the project construction resulting in a successful process and product each time. If you decide to work with Bay Area Custom Homes, you will not be disappointed.

> I'm just launching a second project with Bay Area Custom Homes (BACH). The first project was on time, on budget, and turned out beautifully. Jason and his team are competent, flexible, talented, warm, honest, and truly interested in doing lovely, custom work.

> BACH has worked on a significant second floor remodel to our house over the last year. The quality of the work that they do, and that they require the subcontractors to deliver, is excellent, as is their attention to detail. The project foreman is very experienced and he has come up with some really good design ideas during the course of the project. Given the scope of the project and the age of the house, there have been some construction challenges, and what has been extremely positive is BACH's collaborative and creative approach to finding solutions. Their pricing is transparent, and while they are not the cheapest option, the focus on quality means they do provide good value.
