Tucker & Associates is a landscape design and construction company based in Longview, Texas. We have served East Texas’ Landscaping needs for over 10 years. Our forte is distinctive design, executed by professionals with attention to detail, quality, and function. Dick Tucker (Owner / GM)
In 1974 Dick resigned from a marketing position with IBM, borrowed Uncle Jimmy’s truck, and teamed up with SFA fraternity brother, Klip Morefield, to start Sun Valley Landscape, Inc. (SVL) in Houston. While Dick’s knowledge was limited in the beginning, his commitment to quality workmanship, over the top customer service, and a burning desire to be the leader in his profession has remained constant throughout his career. SVL quickly became a premier landscaping company. In 1982, after selling SVL, he and his wife, Alaine, and their three sons moved back to his beloved East Texas and settled in Longview. For the next nineteen years Dick served as owner and general manager of The Court House Athletic Club and general manager of Oak Forrest Country Club. With the encouragement of his oldest son Brannon, Dick thought it was time to see if the East Texas area was ready for a professional landscape company; it was! In 2001, he established Tucker & Associates. The response far exceeded his expectations.

In 2002, he expanded his offering by traveling to San Diego to train with one of the top landscape lighting designers in America, Nate Mullins. He then established Landscape Lighting Systems of East Texas (which has become East Texas Nightscapes). That same year, Dick and Brannon went to Scottsdale, AZ to receive training to install synthetic golf greens from the largest and most respected golf green construction company in the world, Southwest Greens.

Dick’s passion and talent for all aspects of landscape design and construction have paved the way to the development of exceptional landscape projects all over East Texas.

> I cannot say enough good things about this company.  We recently purchased a home in Longview that had a very neglected yard.  Our first contact was with Dick Tucker.  After only a short visit we knew he was a professional and knew what he was doing.  We started with their landscape design services. He listened to all of our concerns and budget issues. They came up with a fabulous design that we went with immediately. From there we started the installation process.  Every employee that we worked with from start to finish was hardworking, friendly and professional.  All of them went well beyond any of our expectations.  If you are looking for an honest, professional company that does great work, this is your company to go with.

> Dick Tucker, with Tucker & Associates, has recently completed his fourth landscaping project for us.  In each instance, working with Dick was a pleasure because of his great attitude and his professionalism.  Dick listens carefully, gives advice on how best to pursue the project, and goes out of his way to please even clients like me who are perfectionists!  One of the facets of this last project involved replacing a 30-year-old aggregate sidewalk.  I was concerned that the new sidewalk would not match the existing front porch. Dick assured me that his concrete sidewalk man was the best he had ever seen.  And was he right!  To my amazement, the sidewalk matched perfectly! Although Dick had several other jobs ahead of ours and weather issues, he was able to finish our project much sooner that we had anticipated.  We couldn't have been more pleased with our new grass, stonework, and front sidewalk.  We highly recommend Tucker & Associates and will use them in the future..
