Having heavily renovated three homes and built another from the ground up, we consider ourselves relatively sophisticated consumers when it comes to home construction. We are pleased to share that Jeff exceeded our expectations at every turn. > > Our most-recent project was an extensive renovation to the first floor of an older home (reduced to exterior walls and interior studs), coupled with the addition of a large second story. The home was transformed from a 3 BR, 2.5 bath 1960s ranch into a 5 BR, 5.5 bath "Hamptons" style home with a transitional floor plan, vaulted ceilings and intricate finish work. The project involved replacing most of the plumbing and electrical infrastructure, and all of the windows, doors, HVAC equipment and kitchen appliances. We moved/replaced one fireplace, added another and required quite a bit of hardwood, interior trim and brick/stone/general masonry work to tie together old and new. Along the way, Jeff and team took great care to protect the elements we were saving from the original home, and despite wind, rain and spending much of the summer without a roof, he succeeded in protecting everything we’d hoped to keep. > > From Day 1, the inherent complexities of this transformation required a certain degree of "on the fly" flexibility from homeowner and general contractor alike. Jeff was unmatched in working through each and every nuance. Our decisions to make changes - from small things like the direction of door swings to major things like eliminating a breakfast room in favor of a large screened porch with new fireplace (which we decided well-after the midway point in the project) were met with enthusiasm and a "can do" spirit. Jeff took the time to understand our goals, preferences and intended uses of each room, and he reflected all of those elements in the finished product.
