> Steve took our humble ideas at the outset the conception phase of the project in May 2013 and turned it into the amazing home we live in today.  The process was truly collaborative, though Steve held fast to his vision on a few of the main features and we are so glad he did.  The project was challenging as it was a partial scrape and full gut of an 1886 house that had a commercial structure added to it before 1929.  He worked well with our general contractor and was fully engaged and present during the entirety of the 10 month build. Steve's background in construction and knowledge of city code and structural requirements were key in making sure the house could actually be built.  He interacted with the GC and subcontractors almost weekly to ensure that even the smallest details and design challenges were accounted for and addressed.  Even when demo revealed unforeseen site challenges, he partnered with our contractors to come up with solutions.  In short, it was a fantastic partnership and we absolutely love our home.   The incredible light, unique details and open, modern plan is perfect for us and exactly what we wanted.

He was very thoughtful about efficiently using space and merging a modern kitchen and dining space into a traditional brick home. We absolutely love our kitchen, which is truly a showpiece, and its many beautiful details as well as our back wall which was transformed into a full bank of windows. We really enjoyed working with Steve, appreciated his great ideas and his unexpected solutions, and would absolutely work with him again. We felt very fortunate to have worked with Steve on this project as he truly honored the beauty of our old house and designed contemporary spaces that complimented the old architecture.

A: The flooring is a mix of \#2 white and red oak - 3/4" solid with a clear finish. It's very affordable option that provides a lot of texture.

A: Thanks! The paint color for the house is Sherwin Williams - Futon (SW7101) eggshell. The door is Sherwin Williams Jalapeno.
