We moved into a 13 year old home, identified the areas needing replacement, upgrading and modified to better fit who we are. Having built two homes prior, we were experienced in the process. Blackwood and its owner, Robert Woods, (”Woody”) worked with us through the process. From the list we wanted to address, he listened, offered suggestions, worked with us and lined up the staff to accomplish the task. He provided a number of references, when checked, gave us the confidence that we had chosen the right contractor. > The project began on the date agreed on, demolition and preparation moved along efficiently, carefully and cleanly. Any question or concern raised throughout the project was addressed by Woody, as he kept us aware of each day’s schedule. He coordinated the plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile installers and dry wall subcontractors, working to complete the projects in the kitchen, bathrooms and basement. It was done methodically to minimize the disruption in our lives. Each of the subcontractors was respectful, kept to the task and showed a high degree of professionalism in the quality of their work.
