- [Manor on the Hill](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/manor-on-the-hill-pj-vj~5579889)
  - Location: Port Washington, NY
  - Photos: 9
  - Description: Winner of multiple awards from LINLA: Long Island Nursery & Landscape Association, National Association of Landscape Professionals and New York State Nursery and Landscape Association. This traditional style brick home is the definition of a diamond in the rough. The house sits atop a hill, oriented on an angle, and was found with a landscape in utter disrepair. Large oak trees dominated the space. A steep and narrow driveway with deteriorating walls lacked any positive curb appeal or sense of e…

  - Description: Winner of multiple awards from LINLA: Long Island Nursery & Landscape Association and National Association of Landscape Professionals. Montauk Manor opened as an exclusive resort in 1927 and was built by Carl Fisher, the man famous for turning a swamp in Florida into Miami Beach. His vision was to turn Montauk into the Miami Beach of the North. Due to The Great Depression, much of his dream went unrealized and Montauk Manor was left to decay in the 1930s. It changed hands through several develop…

  - Description: Interwoven lawn panels define the garden spaces and connect the house to the pool patio in the back. A large lawn area was required because the homeowners love to entertain and have large parties for up to 100 people. Each year a new annual theme is designed for the site. The homeowners are very involved with their landscape and annual color displays for spring, summer and fall. They are consistently involved with providing inspiration and suggestions for planting. We have added large cast iron…

  - Description: We redesigned the property with an indoor-outdoor living concept, including a new gunite pool, outdoor kitchen, screened-in porch with gas fireplace, entrance pergola and new landscaping. After removing the old deck, we took a lead role in collaborating with a local architect to design and install a screened-in porch with mahogany decking. The screens were designed floor to ceiling for an indoor-outdoor connection and showcase views of the new pool and landscape. Glass panel inserts are added to…

  - Description: A waterfront property can be captivating, entertaining, and breathtaking while showcasing the wonders of nature and her natural amenities. However, there are risks associated with living on the water’s edge. As many people know, in 2012, Hurricane Sandy brought with it a wave of destruction and chaos. Tidal surges and winds were the major environmental forces that have now reshaped the landscape of this Hewlett Harbor property and many communities throughout the south shore of Long Island. A lan…
