### Reviews

**★★★★★ — lkhadra, Dec. 2025**

> Joe is great! We had him create an open floor concept for our kitchen/living room space, add an upstairs bathroom and reconfigure the upstairs to be a better use of space. Joe helped bring my vision to life, and pointed me in directions along the way to make the best decision for me. He was patient and listened to my many questions. His team was very polite and considerate. Everything was completed with professionalism and care. Highly recommend Joe and his team!

**★★★★★ — Dual Bathroom Reconstruct/Remodel, Aug. 2024**

> Joe was fantastic to work with. His and his team’s work is high quality and absolutely up to our standards. He was very accommodating in schedule and completed the job (reconstructing space for two bathrooms and a closet with bathroom remodel) earlier than we anticipated. The communication was open and free every step of the way. We cannot recommend him enough.

**★★★★★ — HU-929365576, Aug. 2024**

> Overall a great experience and project. Joe is not only a fantastic contractor and carpenter, he is also a visionary. His basement remodel process was clean and very efficient and he took great care with our home. I would recommend him to anyone.

**★★★★★ — Jon Boguth, March 2024**

> You hear horror stories about contractors who take money and then show up late, take forever once they do show up, and do mediocre work. Joe is the opposite of that.
>
> I kept trying to pay him once he started work, and he said "don't worry about it" for a while. It felt like we were building a house -- and in some sense we were, since we did a big addition with a slab, kitchen extension with a new crawl space, went down to the studs on the whole main floor, and replaced almost every window in the house -- but we were only out of the house from mid-July to Christmas Eve. (If you don't know, that means that Joe had people there every day -- something our neighbors told us was incredible.) And we're extremely happy with the work.
>
> If you have a big project, you should know that dealing with all of the tradesmen and suppliers once you start work (and the architect or designers before then) takes a very long time. Joe is a pro at that. If we ever move or have another big project, he'll be our first call.

**Comment from Twin Oaks Construction Group:**

> Jon, It was a pleasure to work with you and Cassie. Communication and educating our clients during our time together makes the renovation process easy. Thank you Boguth family

**★★★★★ — jmdeliz, Feb. 2024**

> The quality of work is top shelf and the service was terrific. We have used this company more than once with high marks across the board! The owner, Joe Lampasona, is a great person.

**Comment from Twin Oaks Construction Group:**

> Thank you Joann. High quality and top service is our main goal everyday.

**★★★★★ — The Barbers, Feb. 2024**

> We did a large first floor renovation with an addition and Joe and his crew really brought our vision to life. Joe was great to work with and really addressed any and all concerns we had. He explained everything and even helped me with projects I took on myself. He stuck to our budget which was a huge concern in the wake of the supply chain issues. He never talked down to us and always explained what was going on and gave us realistic timelines. His guys were very professional and friendly and also did great work. We've been living in the renovation for about 10 months and haven't had any issues so far. I highly recommend advance renovations.

**Comment from Twin Oaks Construction Group:**

> Thank you Barber family! Giving up a kitchen / whole first floor for 3.5 months is not easy. You guys were great and diligent on your selections throughout the process.

**★★★★★ — Beth Kennedy, Jan. 2024**

> Joe and his teams are excellent. He manages the project from beginning to end. He communicates very well and there are no surprises. When glitches occur, which always happens in renovations, he solves. We had a full kitchen gutted to studs (and tore down walls to combine space with old office), primary bath and secondary bath done by Advanced Renovations. The work is beautiful! Highly recommend.

**★★★★★ — Mike Marchand, Jan. 2024**

> Joe Lampasona has been our contractor of choice since we purchased our current home in 2018. He and his crews did a complete demo and remodel of our kitchen and master bath in 2019 and a rebuild of our sunroom after storm damage in 2023. All of his skilled trades are polite and professional. Joe is very easy to work with and always has good alternatives to offer the client. Particularly noteworthy is his knowledge of cabinetry, woodworking and trim options for the project. He also works hard to ensure his timeline commitments are met. We will use Joe again for future projects.

**Comment from Twin Oaks Construction Group:**

> Mike, you and Pat have been amazing clients. From understanding our detailed process to promptly making a decision when needed. Thank you for always trusting us with your home.

**★★★★★ — Amanda George, Jan. 2024**

> Joe and Advanced Renovations completed a large project (master bedroom addition, multiple bathroom remodels, bar area, covered patio) for us in 2021 and we're extremely happy with both the results and our experience with Joe. We really appreciated Joe's straightforward approach and clear communication. Every large project has issues, but Joe handled them well and worked with us toward the best result. The project was completed on-time (6 months) and anything over budget was due to choices we made, not because of any surprises from Joe. Joe worked with us after the project to make sure any issues were addressed. Highly recommend Advanced Renovations!

**★★★★★ — Lisa A, Nov. 2021**

> Advanced Renovations completed our Finished Basement Project. Joe is great to work with and guided us with his professional experience when decisions needed to be made. He always texted me and showed up when he said he was going to and followed up on any questions or concerns we had. Our basement turned out AMAZING and we just LOVE it! Joe created a faux wood beam, beautiful three 4ft wide sliding barn doors and a gorgeous floating TV cabinet which are the jewels of this basement design. We are very happy with all of his carpentry work (extremely talented in carpentry) and our kitchen/bar is just incredible! He also completed a full bathroom and the tile work is top notch! We are very happy with the end result of this project and I would highly recommend Advanced Renovations.

**★★★★★ — hlshenderson, Nov. 2021**

> The best contractor I have ever worked with.
> Dependable and excellent quality.
> All his tradespeople were fantastic
> Would never use another renovation company!

**★★★★★ — The Neal’s Kitchen, Nov. 2021**

> Advanced Renovations made our dream kitchen come to life!!!! They exceeded our expectations and got the job done right! Joe’s ideas were amazing on how to gain more space and where to put the pantry. And when we thought something like moving a wall 2ft out was a pipe dream, he made it happen!!!! We will only hire Advanced Renovations for our home projects moving forward! They are honest, transparent and stuck to their quotes. 10/10 recommend!!!

## Community Q&A

**Q: What are the dimensions of the island ?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Island dimensions are 48” x 18”. Used as a prep area. Great way to fill the center of a narrow kitchen.

**Q: Island** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the Island Width?

A: Jason, The island width is 18 inches. It's extremely functional with plenty of room around all sides.

**Q: Kitchen wall dilemma** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Getting ready to remodel the kitchen. We have a large wall that leads to our dining room, that we would like to take half of the top Wolof and make a breakfast bar. Not sure if we should go all the way up to the ceiling, or leave the header that is already existing in the doorway and go all the way across that way. We are in the demo process as we speak, and will be hiring professionals eventually, but not sure if when we demo if we should take the ball all the way up to the ceiling or leave the header. What do you think? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

A: If the wall isn't bearing then I recommend taking it to the ceiling. Anytime you renovate a space you want it to look like you always had it that way. Leaving the header will look like you did your renovation halfway. Give it that completely open flow. You won't be sorry. Hope this helps.
